Overview of 234 Pick Ur Parts

234 Pick Ur Parts stands as a prominent entity within the auto parts industry, specifically recognized for its operations as a Scrap Yard. This facility, situated at 14843 Dumfries Rd, Manassas, VA 20112, United States, serves as a vital resource for individuals seeking affordable auto components or looking to responsibly dispose of end-of-life vehicles. The company caters primarily to mechanics, car owners, and businesses involved in automotive repair, modification, or recycling.

Location and Accessibility

Strategically located in Manassas, Virginia, 234 Pick Ur Parts is easily accessible for customers within the Northern Virginia region. Its address, 14843 Dumfries Road, clearly indicates its placement along a major thoroughfare. For those seeking direct contact, the business provides a telephone number, 703-791-4247, allowing for direct inquiries, scheduling, or discussions regarding their specific auto parts needs or scrap metal disposal requirements. Furthermore, the establishment maintains an online presence through its dedicated website, https://234pickurpart.com/, which likely hosts essential information, a sitemap, contact details, and potentially customer reviews or inventory previews, although the exact content would require visiting the site directly.

Core Business Operations

The primary focus of 234 Pick Ur Parts is identified as a Scrap Yard. This operation inherently involves the collection, processing, and recycling of various metals, particularly those found in automobiles and other vehicles. Customers typically visit such locations seeking a wide array of used auto parts that might not be available through traditional dealerships or online retailers. These can range from essential engine components, transmissions, and body panels to smaller accessories and electronics. Conversely, the scrap yard aspect means they are also equipped to handle the disposal of non-functional vehicles or specific parts, adhering to environmental regulations and recycling standards. This dual function of sourcing parts and managing scrap material positions them as a one-stop solution for many automotive needs.

Several key features associated with this type of establishment are noteworthy:

  • Potential Inventory Depth: While their website may offer a glimpse, a physical scrap yard often holds an extensive inventory of diverse makes and models, providing parts for older or less common vehicles that are harder to source elsewhere. This extensive collection is a primary draw for budget-conscious consumers and restoration specialists.
  • Price Advantage: Scrap yards are generally known for offering auto parts at significantly lower prices compared to new parts or those from brand-name salvage yards. Items like starters, alternators, radiators, and entire engines can often be acquired for a fraction of the cost, making vehicle repairs and modifications more financially accessible.
  • Condition Variability: It is crucial for customers to understand that parts sourced from a scrap yard may vary significantly in condition. While some parts might be in excellent working condition, others could be nearing the end of their lifespan or require immediate replacement. Buyers are often advised to inspect parts physically (if possible before purchase) or have a good understanding of the component's reliability. The facility might offer some level of inspection or guarantee, but this should be confirmed.
  • Scrap Metal Acceptance: As a core part of their business model, they accept various types of scrap metal, which could include complete vehicles (for proper dismantling and recycling), dismantled parts, or specific materials like copper, aluminum, or ferrous metals. They might offer payment based on the weight and type of scrap accepted.

Customer Service and Operational Information

Customer feedback, aggregated across platforms like Google My Business, provides valuable insights into the customer experience. 234 Pick Ur Parts has accumulated 523 reviews on Google My Business, reflecting a wide range of customer interactions. The average rating stands at 2.8 out of 5, suggesting that while some customers have had satisfactory experiences, there are more negative reviews than positive ones. Common concerns or criticisms indicated in such aggregated feedback often include factors like service quality, part condition, pricing accuracy, wait times, cleanliness of the facility, accuracy of inventory claims online, or adherence to stated policies.

However, the business does list some specific operational details that could influence customer perception:

  • Delivery Availability: Understanding the logistics is important. Customers might inquire about delivery options for parts or scrap materials, especially if they are unable to visit the location themselves. The website or direct contact would clarify the scope and cost of their delivery services.
  • Same-day Delivery: This is a notable offering, particularly valuable for customers with urgent auto repair needs. The availability of same-day delivery for parts (or potentially for scrap pickup/drop-off) signifies an attempt to meet immediate customer demands. However, the feasibility and associated costs of this service would depend on factors like order size, distance, and specific arrangements.
  • Credit Card Acceptance: Accepting credit cards adds convenience for customers, allowing for easier payment transactions compared to cash-only operations. This can be a deciding factor for some shoppers.

Relevant Information for Potential Customers

For an individual seeking information about 234 Pick Ur Parts, the following points are highly relevant:

Evaluating the Services

Prospective customers should carefully consider whether the specific services offered align with their needs. The low average rating indicates room for improvement, so customers should prepare for the possibility that experiences may not be uniformly positive. It is advisable to read through some of the 523 reviews on Google My Business to get a sense of recent customer experiences before visiting or making significant purchases. Understanding the process for buying parts (both new and used) and selling scrap is essential. Clarifying policies regarding part returns, warranties (if any), and the condition of second-hand items is crucial to avoid misunderstandings.

Practical Considerations

Visiting the facility during business hours is often the best way to gauge the operational atmosphere, observe part availability (beyond what's listed online), and speak directly with staff. Being prepared to negotiate prices for parts is common practice at scrap yards and can potentially yield better deals. Customers should also be mindful of safety protocols when handling parts or scrap materials. For those relying on delivery services, confirming the delivery scope (parts, pickups, etc.), estimated timelines, and associated fees is paramount.

Target Audience

This type of business typically appeals most strongly to individuals and small businesses with budget constraints, classic car restorers, mechanics needing replacement parts for various vehicles, and those looking for responsible end-of-life vehicle disposal or specific scrap metal recycling. The availability of same-day delivery caters particularly well to customers facing urgent repair situations.

Conclusion

In conclusion, 234 Pick Ur Parts operates a facility focused primarily on being a Scrap Yard and auto parts supplier. Located in Manassas, Virginia, it offers potentially lower-cost auto parts and scrap metal recycling services, with features like delivery and credit card acceptance. While online information and the website provide a baseline understanding, the entity's reputation is reflected in its 2.8-star average rating based on 523 reviews, suggesting variability in customer satisfaction. Prospective customers interested in sourcing auto parts or recycling vehicles should investigate further using the provided contact details, explore the website, read existing reviews, and potentially visit the facility to make informed decisions based on their specific requirements and expectations.

I’m giving one start because it wasn’t giving me the “none starts”
Please do not waste your time in this place, all the personal is rude as hell, and they make you pay for everything, even to enter, I mean if they’re offering a service and they’re making to pay, the least thing they could do is to give a good one.

Bad bad bad 👎🏻

Not bad, I signed in and they charge me to walk the lot. The lot is not easy to navigate through so it’s best to ask for location of particular cars you’re looking for. Might be helpful if you use Spanish translator. Overall experience was nice I made a YouTube video, “Robert TOPA “ 234 Pick Ur Part . Check out my video to get more information regarding the lot.

My experience here was shockingly bad. From the moment I called, the staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. When I asked if they could check the availability of a specific part, they told me they ‘didn’t know’ and refused to even check. Instead, they charge customers $2 just to walk back and search through the parts on their own, which is outrageous. When I visited, the attitude of the staff was just as awful in person as on the phone – not a single employee was willing to offer assistance or even point me in the right direction. After spending hours of my own time combing through their disorganized shelves, I left empty-handed. They simply did not have the parts I needed, but I had to waste half my day to find that out myself.

The worst part? When I tried to call back for clarification, they outright hung up on me mid-sentence when I asked specific questions. I have visited countless similar businesses, and this one is hands down the absolute worst in terms of customer service, organization, and general attitude. Save yourself the time, frustration, and money and go anywhere else – they clearly don’t value their customers here.

I've been coming here for years. Only ever had one bad experience. It's almost always had something that I was looking for. Most often... something that I wasn't looking for and ended picking up. Inventory always changes.

Don't waste your time going there to look for parts. 1, the guy who works there looks like he is not happy working there and 2 the parts were overpriced than eBay and Amazon, that's why some of these places are going out of business especially dealing with the unhappy service they give, who wants that? The good thing is I get to walk around for my evening's excise but who cares it cost me $2 lol.

I see why their reviews are so poor. First time at a salvage yard and what a terrible experience it was. Paid $2 entrance fee to walk the yard, accompanying my man who was looking for a couple parts. We found two parts and headed to the office to checkout. At checkout, the woman at front desk accused us of stealing while searching my man’s bag filled with tools. She proceeded to yell and scold us as if we were little kids. My man and I stayed calm but believe me, I wanted to go off but she wasn’t worth it. It’s very clear that she’s a very unhappy person with no class. She’s not civilized at all. We should’ve read their reviews before going but I feel somewhat comforted knowing that it wasn’t just us who had an awful experience. Clearly she’s the owner or owners family member because if she was my employee, I’d fired her already! BTW, she had no problem taking our money, $300. I wanted to tell my man to forget the parts, not to give them business, but we worked so hard in the darn heat to
find and pick the parts out. We will never go back nor recommend this place. Stay away!!

Save your time, money, and sanity and go to Brandywine Auto instead. These folks wanted $125 for a used junkyard radio. Horrible customer service, especially the lady who didn’t seem to care about my business either way. I’m expecting the bare minimum and to be treated like a human being, not a second class citizen.

Horrible experience, once you go that far and work to get your parts under the heat for hours, then you’re in their hands, they’ll charge you extreme prices and its hard for you to refuse it because you don’t want to leave the pieces. Awful scammer type of people, definitely don’t recommend.
