We are a military couple and have used WeLease for many years and are very satisfied. Every staff member we encounter is very courteous, helpful but most of all knowledgeable. Even while stationed overseas communication was a breeze and they constantly monitored the property informing us of issues before they got out of hand. They also keep us abreast of any recent developments in renters rights, owners rights and the overall rental issues. We would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a professional property management company.

If I could rate them 0 stars I would. I am so shocked to see the ratings here that are high because aint no way they are credible. In my 6 years of living in San Diego this has been THE WORST leasing company I have ever encountered. We lived at thier property for 1 year and the unit we lived in was the textbook definition of a QUICK FLIP. About 4 months in we started having plumbing issues. Our bathtub and toilet started filling with disgusting brown water. They sent out a plumber to wash out the system and he asked me if we used baby wipes. I told him no and he determined that our brand of toilet paper was too thick. Strange but okay, it's toilet paper..

These plumbing issues also went on to affect the unit also attached to ours and went on for months. There were times we could not even use the water. To our surprise we checked our tenant portal and saw that they charged us $400 for said plumbing issues claiming that wipes and tampons caused the clogging. I was literally there with the plumber and not once did he confirm that "wipes and tampons" were the source of the problem. I am 30 years old, I have never flushed a tampon down the toilet of MY HOUSE in my life. I even went as far as reaching out to the plumbing company they hired for the job and the company told me the leasing office had contacted them personally and asked them to not communicate with us. Very shady and unprofessional on many fronts.

We showed up to the leasing office to speak to someone in person and they basically said it was what it was. We made the decision to not pay it and told them they can take it out of our security deposit. A few days later we caught someone from the leasing office literally taping an "eviction" notice on our door for failure to "pay rent". The "rent" in question? the $400 plumbing charge. It was not until we threatened legal action that they agreed to not include the $400 balance as a "rent" charge. Also as I mentioned we had a ring camera at the time and they literally waited until both cars were out of the drive way to come up and leave the note. Such a cowardly move considering we has just discussed the situation in office with multiple people.
EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Amongst other things, when they sent us a lease renewal agreement where they had raised the price by $300. A clear tactic to not get us to resign. OBVIOUSLY we were not resigning. Funny enough after we moved out we checked the listing and it was NOT listed priced at the offer they sent us. Seriously, I could never imagine doing something like that and expected to be taken seriously and looked at professionally. On top of that OF COURSE they scammed their way into claiming our WHOLE security deposit.

We had solar and its was a fixed amount every month. (I worked for the solar company that serviced the home) yet a different amount for electricity charged each month? Shady.
Gas? I literally paid SDGE for gas every month.
Over $500 to replace filters and smoke detectors? Literally c'mon. Then when we asked for a receipt that broke down the cost which was actually $320, Frank wanted to double down and say the original break down was an estimate...

OVERALL this leasing company was absolutely garbage. They have zero integrity and are literal scammers. I feel bad for others who have experienced the same thing but gave up trying to fight back. The only reason we did not take them to court over all their crap is because they clearly needed our money more than we did.

And i know they respond to reviews so WeLease if your're reading please don't bother responding. (If you look at how they respond to bad reviews it's also extremely unprofessional). I can't believe they are still being trusted to run properties for landlords. Literal CROOKS!

Cari recently did an amazing job coordinating the annual HVAC inspections for my properties. The HVAC company is a 3rd party company that I typically contact separately for setting up maintenance plans and discussing the needs of my properties. When they called to remind me of the checkup, I let Cari know and she very quickly got the inspections done on both of my properties.

Some PM companies are slow to get work orders done even when they use in-house vendors so I was particularly impressed by how quickly she was able to get it done and how proactive she was with updates. A great asset to the team at WeLease, which also happens to be one of the best PM companies I've worked with.
