AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The main water line broke in October and caused our unit to be flooded with mold. ERA claims it is surface mold and refused to hire an inspector. We paid at of our pocket and ERA claims the report is fabricated. These people are scam artists. If you are stuck with them, lawyer up and report them to SLO government.

Amy at ERA is an amazing professional. From start to finish of our rental experience, she was always there for us when we needed assistance. She truly goes above (way above) and beyond. We ran into some issues with the landlord conducting a major construction project while we were renting on the property, and Amy walked us through the whole fiasco with the utmost integrity and professionalism. Can't praise her enough, and ERA is very fortunate to have such a star on their team.

I really enjoyed living on site! Amy is a great property manager and everyone on staff is easy to work with! I would definitely work with them again and live in one of their apartments.

Overall good experience. Review stating maintenance requests left open and communication issues isn't wrong, though many places are like that and with a little extra effort being a squeaky wheel you can get some grease at Era and doing things yourself is just part of being a tenet especially at affordable, lower end apartments. For the money and what it was, great experience. I was at their apartments of pacific street. Yes they were hands off but I also like my landlords like that. They had a maintenance guy you'd see every so often, a pleasant man that you could talk to directly catching him at work when those requests never get looked at.

Note to James Knapps, I did a lot of research of property management in the area, so let's be real here. Please improve communication even for the advantage of your company. My lease was up and Era has no idea until 5 days later when i finally got ahold of someone (since at the time calls won't be picked up and you can't even leave a message to not be returned most the times). I got my full deposit back luckily and that was fair because the place was left better than we got it: the new property manager I wasn't even aware of who had no file on me was very happy about how good it looked--a more so relieved since what could have been. She most likely turned the place around quickly. The next day she was showing the place as I returned the rest of the keys to her. Molly, the property manager I thought I had the whole time ,who I very much liked, had split some time before . Makes sense why some of my calls regarding the property and management wouldn't be taken care of through her, and if you can't reach the office--not just phone but online that you speak highly of--well you'd expect some issues. One of which could have gotten you all in a legal headache regarding a domestic abuse issue and I am not that type of tenet to complain about things and pull that legal crap. But you are opening yourself up to some kids who haven't experience to leave one star reviews and complain about a small portion of a deposit whi doesn't know a true ripoff scum lord deserving a one star. You know those ones that gives a three day notice and a sock to the bread basket because it's cheaper than the mold remediation and reimbursing for displacement and possible law suits so tried to get a waiver of liabality and use lawyers to intimidate. That's a one star, but not to some kids who can't fix their toilet. And so to id imagine if things get bad like a domestic issue. Even without communication, things were mostly good and took care of what needed to be done, a few bumps in the road hardly a problem except one that would have been to a lot of other people since it concerned saftey. I didn't have an issue with the weird ending of lease but was worried about what could happen but Era was above board and that's way more than you can say about many. Thank you for the stay and your slo branch James and offering affordable places with pleasant staff and neighbors and fair property management.

Not a good experience at all. Communication is through texts and emails unless you’re looking for a place to rent. Maintenance requests are left open and most times half resolved. When I moved out of my two bedroom apartment they kept $425 of my deposit and attached an invoice for paint touch up.

Overall very happy with the management here, everything is online which is easy, and they have been very responsive to maintenance requests. Nice to text with them rather than having to call, better apartment than most in SLO
