🔴 WARNING! Beware of their high-pressure sales tactics. 🔴

I'm posting this to warn everyone about our horrendous experience with the so-called Hyatt Vacation Club Platinum Program (#P-324963). We were subject to an aggressive sales pitch, deceptive promises, and they even separated us from our 6-year-old kid during the process, creating an environment of stress and pressure. It seemed they would stop at nothing to make the sale.
What's worse, they will not let you out of the contract. We have tried numerous times to cancel our contract, all met with blatant refusals. They put us under tremendous financial stress, wrecked our credit score, and even negatively impacted our health due to the constant stress.
Please, be cautious. Don't fall for the same trap we did. Always remember to take your time and never let anyone pressure you into signing a contract on the spot. Do your research, understand your rights, and consider all potential consequences before you sign anything.

The worst! WHV has NO HEART. I’ve been an “owner” for 2yrs now and just found out I have stage 4 cancer. Asked the financial department, owner services, and resort if I can delay/differ payments for 2months while going through extensive radiation treatments and chemotherapy. Their financial group stated I’m SOL and my account will go into collections and did not offer any solutions. I would never recommend a company that states they’re about family when really they’re only about money. DO NOT GO INTO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE!!

I decided to take them on their offer. However from the start Kristine ran my card. It declined but now has 4 charges of $50 for a deposit. And Supposedly it’s not coming up in their system. Of course from my back it’s already been pulled. And now I cannot even cancel the trip. Jennifer confirmed they will be holding onto my deposit.

Horrible experience! I wouldn't recommend this time share tour to my worst enemy. I called the confirmation department several times the week of my tour, was promised an email confirmation so I would have all the details. Never received it .. called again before I headed out since my drive was going to be 3+ hours, to confirm my stay, the location, verify a late check in was going to be okay etc. The agent confirmed all the requested information, still didn't send an email confirmation as promised. I get to the hotel and low and behold they don't have me in their system. Luckily, the hotel was able to fit me in, so we had a place to sleep after 3+ hours of travel. The next day was the wonderful tour, which again I got caught in a "system change over- Sales Force". Once i was finally with a tour agent, things went as planned, although she was friendly, I felt like the whole car salesman thing with the numbers , the tiers and once we declined to purchase the two other manager's that came to speak with us to "make the deal". Once we declined for the 3rd time, we finally received our "gifts". Oh wait we received an invalid pre paid visa card that can't be activated because Welk didn't do what they needed to on their end. So, I called the gifting department and they have closed since Saturday mid afternoon. Mind you I just called again it's Monday at 11:35am. I can only imagine what is going to happen when I try and schedule the vacation package that was provided.

I’m writing regarding our unpleasant stay at the Welk Resort in Escondido January 25th through January 27th, 2022.
• Before we booked we called the front desk to ensure that the various clubs and indoor activities were available. We got confirmation.
• While at the resort we confirmed with the front desk that the various clubs and indoor activities were available. We got second confirmation in person.
• While in our room we called the front desk and got confirmation everything was open.
• We got a ride by a golf cart driver who confirmed that everything was open.

Then when we actually went to the clubs we discovered that all of this was untrue, and that there’s a HUGE disconnect between the operators of the clubs and the staff that books/checks people in in the front desk.

We are a large family (8 kids) and all these indoor activities are critical to our enjoyable vacation. So we were not able to enjoy the music room, borrow a guitar, paint, 3D printing, arts and crafts, etc.

We understand that all amenities are subject to change without notice. But a Welk staffer represents that an amenity is available when in fact it’s not, that’s a huge problem.

I brought it up to the front desk and got a meager $43.20 refund. That’s unacceptable. I had to get off the resort and drive to San Diego to buy arts and crafts and musical instruments to keep my kids entertained.

We had to cancel our trip, due to a positive Covid test, a day before our arrival. We never asked for a refund, but in return an opportunity to reschedule. The Welks of Breckinridge explained the rates were created because of Covid, which we took advantage of, to entice people to travel to their resorts. Except when you come down with Covid, you’re SOL, without the ability to reschedule. We were charged and lost every dollar. The Airline and rental car company were very accommodating for rescheduling, and eventually gave us a total refund, when they heard of the resort denying a reschedule. I spoke to the manager at The Welks Breckinridge, who was very supportive and friendly, which agreed to the reschedule. Then I spoke to the general manager who was rude, over-road the manager and denied us. The whole experience was disappointing and frustrating. I also had a proposal planned, which was ruined as well. The only thing I learned was to just travel with Covid and bring it to the resort, otherwise you’re not accommodated. They set up the special rates to get you there, “because of Covid”, but don’t you dare get Covid, prior. There are plenty of beautiful resorts in and around Breckinridge, choose one of those.

We booked through Travelocity and arrived late, the room reeked of smoke and there were cigarette ashes in the bathroom sink, At this point we were so tired from being on the road, we just showered and went to bed. After arriving home there were shocked to see a $500.00 Charge on our Credit Card since the payment for the room went through Travelocity. Tried to contact them and it kept going to voice mail, they never called back or have picked up the phone and returned our phone call. Going through the Credit Card Company to dispute and it has not been a pleasant. Even the Credit Card Company can't Get anyone from the Welk Resort in Branson Missouri to call them back to explain the charges. Something really stinks and Corporate should send an auditor and also contact other guests to see if they have had a similar problem. They even emailed me a satisfaction card and I though for sure I would get a call since I told them what was going on, but guess they do not want to address the problem or don't care.

I have just filed a complaint with the BBB. One of the reasons we purchased a time share here was because we were told we can have day use of the facilities. Ok with Covid I understand that they had to cancel all day use but come on, now everything has re-open but Welk Resort refuses to let us have day use. All sure you can go to their restaurant, stores and golf but not to the pools or gym where they don't make any money. Every time you call their corporate office, you are told that they don't know when they will open & just tell you to look at the news letter for updates. Not to mention, we are still paying over $1000.00 in HOA!!!!!! Welk Resort you get a "F" on how you treat your owners!!!!!!
