Like others, I was excited to switch from a big bank to a local credit union. I swear it used to be better, but over time they haven't been able to keep up technologically and with many of the necessary amenities for banking. I've had positive experiences with the staff.

A frustrating example is that their ATM at their North Park location is down and it took about 15 minutes waiting for a teller in the bank to withdraw cash. Once I have the energy and time I'll probably switch banks

I used to brag about this place, not anymore! Speak to Your customers/account holders with a little more dignity and respect and do Your best to not insult their intelligence. Without them, there wouldn't be a brach for You to work at.

DON'T PUT A DIME IN THIS BANK.
This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a bank. If you love to travel, this isn't the best bank to use. My money has been compromised on two separate occasions. On Monday, I had my card blocked today, my secured card got unblocked, and over $1,000 is being compromised. I was never notified to see if I approved of my card being freed. Identity Theft Protection is just a fancy word for text messages. They'll send you a fancy text message asking you about charges. The 24 hr service isn't any good because they're limited on what they can see on their end. When I return to San Diego, I'm closing both accounts. Your money isn't safe.

Steer clear of this place. This bank is garbage and treats it’s customers like trash..The North Park branch on University is awful. There are much better local banks to choose from.

This credit union touts itself as better than the big banks when in actual fact they are far worse. They charge fees for absolutely every service, their support team only works business hours, they offer no over draft facility. I was $10 short on the day my car payment went through so they declined it and charged me $27 !!!! It was just a question of one too many things coming out at the same time right before pay day and they charged me double what I was short and actually pulled it out that day so then I was $37 short! Also transactions take days to go through on my account. When I pay off my credit cards my credit card says payment confirmed but it doesn't actually deduct out of my account for almost a week which leads to situations like the above when I think everything has cleared but it hasn't. Worst bank ever.

Unfortunately customer service can be hit or miss. I usually don’t look forward to having to see a teller. Never know if they’re going to be in a good mood or not. I wish all their ATMs had an option to choose the denominations when you withdraw. I think the only pleasant thing about coming here is the female security used they have. She’s really nice.

An associate at this branch helped me get into a loan to boost my credit score! They were patient enough to explain several times how the loan would work and even set up an automatic payment for me!

The customer service at this office can be hit and miss. I will still give a strong five star rating because SDCCU is the best credit union!
