This is by far the worst rent company and as a result the worst rental property I have ever lived. I lived at Welch Rd Apartments, which is owned and managed by Greystar. They have a property at Stanford called Welch Rd Apts. I am telling you, it seems cheap for "resident physician or Stanford affiliate prices", but DO NOT live here or do business with this management company. They treat you very poorly and are very unreasonable and out to nickle and dime you. Welch Rd (Greystar's property they manage) has been doing construction on the place for years and the noise is awful. You will have trouble sleeping after a night shift and your kids and pets will be very stressed. The construction comes first no matter what - even if you are home sick and ask them to work on a different apartment for a day. They are literally inside your apartment and on your balcony for weeks at a time and you cannot be there during the day because plastic is all over the place. There are construction workers everywhere blocking parking spots and getting dust on your car. They left my apartment unlocked for hours after they finished working in there (alerted maintenance). I ended up moving out because I just could not stand the management by Greystar and the noise anymore. Also, one of the construction workers started leaving me flowers and staying late at night trying to talk to me. Regardless of that and even after they informed us they would reimburse part of the rent from the bad construction months when they were INSIDE my apartment, Welch Rd (managed by Greystar) required me to sign another year lease to reimburse me. On move out, I left the place perfectly clean and they charged me "carpet cleaning" and "janitorial fees" (~500$) and then rent for the days that they had to do this cleaning. I have attached screen shots of how clean the place was when I left it. I have a full video as well. No one needed to clean it because I spent 3-4 hrs making sure it was perfect. The lady at the front desk (Sara) has hung up on me 2x while I lived there whenever I tried to trouble shoot issues with her - this reflects the poor customer service there. DO NOT LIVE HERE or do business with Greystar.

Dear management,

I am not sure why you are refusing to provide us services here. I am reaching out many times for washer and dryer repairs, for ceiling fan repair and water heater that is not working, and no one don’t even have the decency to reply my emails including upper-level management. It has been over 10 days since we been living here with no hot water, and we are unable to take showers. Because you are ignoring our service requests and we are on lease agreement with you, I am going reach out to the corporate office to find out why my service needs are not being met. You are failing to fulfill your side of the lease agreement. You were agreed to provide us washer and dryer, microwave and many more services and appliances.

We moved here last month, and we had no microwave, the ceiling fan is not working, washer and dryer are not working. I have tried many attempts to solve this issue, but you are not responding. I guess you are giving one choice here and the choice is to be looking for legal advice for breach of lease contract.

The worst property management company for tenants! BEWARE! Charged for carpet stains that were there before moving into the apartment! But it’s so inconvenient it makes you just want to pay because it’s a headache to deal with non responsive managers working here!

Every interaction I have with GreyStar people or policies lowers my expectations even more. I’ve lived here two months and it continues to be a frustrating experience. Will update when my lease finally ends. Stolen packages with zero care from managements (and lying about policies?), hidden fees, poor building setup. Feels like a cash grab running a building into the ground.
