My husband and I have dreamed of owning our first home for 15 years and we finally made the leap after having our second little bundle of joy and were in need of a larger space and a family-friendly neighborhood. Colin Farris was EXACTLY who we needed on our side to be searching our desired neighborhoods and getting us in to see properties (even amidst Covid!) early. Colin is knowledgeable about south OC, but San Juan Capistrano especially.

Colin found our (new!) home as a pocket listing from the listing agent, he sent us walk-thru videos before it was officially on the market. His quick, professional and kind communication with us as well as the listing agent allowed us to see the home that same day and we placed an offer than night. He was ready with all necessary paperwork, making the hardest part of the process as swift and simple as possible. Colin was always willing to offer further explanation on (any!) part of the process that felt confusing. Things move fast and he was always a step ahead of the game. We loved working with him because he is kind, generous with his time and professional, but ultimately we loved his love for what he does—he worked hard and fast to find us our perfect first home. I also love that he has a family and knows the value and safety and what we were looking for.

Colin has a finish carpentry background, which gives him the perspective and experience while walking through a property that came in handy when we had questions about potential renovations, etc. I learned SO much just while walking through properties with him.

As explained in an earlier review, Colin Farris helped us find our ‘forever’ home and now it was time to sell our existing home of 33 years. After working with Colin for over a year, we felt no one was more qualified to help us sell our family home. Because he is a highly knowledgeable real estate agent and keenly aware of the local market in Costa Mesa, we valued his suggestions on changes and upgrades that would make our home more attractive to potential buyers. He made great recommendations on contractors, staging and was there every step of the way during the upgrading process.
Colin, being the consummate professional, was very attune to what was happening in the real estate market, and as such, he suggested a selling price higher than what we imagined, which immediately brought in our buyer in less than a week. We ended up getting above our asking price. Colin kept us apprised of each step throughout escrow. When we had questions or concerns, he was always available to take the time we needed to understand the process. He was always there to follow up any time there were issues that needed attention.
As we said in the earlier recommendation, Colin has always gone above and beyond what we would have expected of him and as such we have great respect and admiration for his passion, honesty, work ethics, complete professionalism and love of his profession. He is truly a people person and cares about how his clients feel and what they want. He listens carefully to his clients and makes every effort to make their wishes come true. It was difficult then, to find enough words to describe our admiration and respect for Colin and this holds true now. I have bought and sold 8 homes in my life and have never had such a great realtor. Colin arranged for contractors to meet us at the house all at the same time to get multiple bids for flooring and painting. He also arranged for estate sale companies to meet with us all on the same day and timeframe. It was so convenient. We never even had to list the house in the multiple listings as he had a buyer as soon as other realtors knew it was about to be listed. We got top dollar. Our home search started in September of 2021, and after a year of putting in offers on homes all over Orange County, we were still searching. In December of 2022, our good friends successfully purchased a home in a very competitive market (San Clemente) with a realtor, Colin Farris. This was also our first time dabbling in the home buying process, so my fiancé and I were a little hesitant and completely clueless on where to start. We needed A LOT of hand holding and guidance from the start.

Colin far exceeded our expectations and made the process seamless and stress-free from start to finish. He answered every question we had (and it was a lot), was prompt in scheduling tours in a highly competitive market, and was responsive and available to answer our texts, calls, emails, etc.

Because of his knowledge and expertise, we ended up finding our DREAM home in San Juan Capistrano and will soon be in escrow.
