Real Property Management has been working with me for over 3 years as of now. What makes this team stand out, that they have been there for me during the tough times: tackling challenging scenarios; going to the housing authority when representation was needed; when a pluming incident needed attention in the middle of the night; when it came to finding qualified tenants despite a longer than normal dry spell (.. and not letting me jump into a random contract); rebranding to section 8 and taking care of the overwhelming paperwork and filings.
It is also very difficult to find a management company that takes an interest in market analytics and lets a landlord know when to raise and not raise rent. This team does this!
I enjoy working with RPM because the employees are honest and set expectations. I have been told that my property is in a tough location, and I could potentially end up with a four-month vacancy, until a new good renter could be found. Most landlords would not like this answer and would rather run to another agency. However, I would rather have someone tell me this unpleasant (and very transparent) information, then to tell me they can find someone in two weeks and then that someone destroy the place or not pay rent. FYI: luckily, we never had a 4 month vacant situation. They advertised heavy and did prompt showings.
Overall, honesty, integrity, transparency, fairness, timely communication are my favorite business (and human) qualities and RPM Pacific, in Oakland checks all these boxes.
I highly recommend this team and looking forward to many more years to work with them. At the moment I have 100% occupancy thanks to them.

We’ve been working with Matt for almost 2 years now and he has gone well above and beyond what I ever expected for a Property Manager, based on poor prior experiences with so many other property managers. Matt is not only honest and transparent, but he approaches difficult situations with me and the renters with a deep care and humility, while staying focused on finding a fair solution for all. I trust that he is interacting with the renters as I would want a Property Manager to treat me if I was the renter. Notably, he also has stuck with us through very hard times until things were resolved (which meant that he didn’t throw in the towel when so many others would have!). We feel like Matt is a true partner that we can trust to manage our most important investment. I recommend him all the time to anyone who asks!

Matt Hastings is a gem of a property manager. He has assisted me throughout the entire rental process: advertising my property, finding high quality renters, taking care of the property as it's being rented. He is exceptionally good at communicating with me and the tenants, and promptly follows through on any requests made by me or the tenants. He's also very knowledgeable about local rent laws and knows how to handle emergencies as well as the day to day. 5 stars for sure.

I've rented enough apartments to know within 30 seconds what the next few years of my life will be like with my landlord. Real Property was professional, but also kind and empathetic. Not something you typically find in this industry.
