I honestly have spoken SO highly about Honeybook over the last 3 years as a user. As of today, I have never been more disappointed. Suddenly, I went from $13 a month to $45!!!! I have been waiting for my $150 commission payout for way too long and to top it off, the customer support has degraded to the point where I am waiting 16 minutes between messages for replies! I asked simple questions with a considerate energy and I am being treated second rate.

Honeybook is going downhill.

I would like to be contacted by a capable customer service person.

Honeybook made about $5,000 off of my small business through processing fees and subscription fees this year. Their sudden 50% price hike this week was pure corporate greed, plain and simple. I have already cancelled my subscription and switched to Dubsado, and I couldn’t be happier with it! Honeybook’s new price for their highest tier subscription is $1,548/year BEFORE the thousands you will pay in processing fees, while Dubsado’s highest tier is $160/year after their current 50% off Black Friday sale which combines with a 20% off referral code. Honeybook is literally TEN TIMES more expensive for a worse platform. They are also deleting Instagram comments to try and hide their customers’ feedback. Everybody I know who has used Honeybook has either already cancelled their subscription, or is in the process of doing so

My biggest complaint is the payment processing takes way too long! When my clients pay for bookings using a credit card, or another for of electronic payment, it takes 10 business days to deposit into my business account. WHY? Why are funds held for 10 days before being released to our accounts. I read in another blog that this has been an ongoing issue. This is a deal breaker for me. When my contract ends I will not renew. The time frame that our funds are held is unreasonable.

I'm not a fan of this company. One day I'm paying $9.00 /month and then they all of a sudden the increase my plan $36/month. No new services! No upgrades! Just a new cost structure! Rip off for a business that wants nothing more than a way to charge my client a few times a year!

I love the aesthetics and simplicity of HoneyBook. However, all my clients have experienced issues when trying to close deals due to problems with their website. When I contact HoneyBook support and request to speak with a human, I only receive automated responses, and my issues are never resolved. I do not recommend it.

I’ve been with HoneyBook for several years. I no longer use the software enough to keep paying for it as my business has changed. I canceled my membership so I wouldn’t forget before it auto renews in November. Well, because I canceled, they removed my access to start new projects even though I’m paid for two more months. 😠 Then I asked them to remove my credit card information so it wasn’t sitting stored in their system when I am no longer paying for a membership. They said they can’t delete my card unless they delete my account. So I had to delete my account and access to all of my files just to have them remove my card information. To make matters worse, I was speaking with them through chat and expressing my frustration that I have to delete my account just to have them remove my personal card information. While waiting for a response, they deleted my account and I was logged out. I lost access to everything, including the chat. The person I was speaking with never even acknowledged my frustration let alone tried to make it right! Not how I should be treated after years of using their service. It was rude and unprofessional. I will never return to HoneyBook.

I've been using HB for four years, and it's just been downhill in speed and performance. I understand many minor issues SaaS companies go through, but the biggest problem for Honeybook is the files and projects' refresh time/load time. I will have to wait 10-15 seconds for a refresh, which adds up when you have hundreds of projects. The issue is not with my internet speed or my computer.

I've had a great experience with Honeybook. I use it for automatic (and regular) invoicing and have had it for about a year. I find the interface to be a little tricky to navigate initially, but once everything is set up, it's been great for invoicing (that's all I use it for). Customer service has always been great, and payments are processed without issues. I'm a bookkeeper who has seen and tried many payment processing programs and this one has been by far the best I've seen and used.
