I called yesterday asking for a showing, and whoever picked up the phone was extremely rude to me. The lady who answered said, "As I mentioned in the email, this house is in the process of signing a lease."

I read to her the email I got, but nowhere in it did it state that the house was already being leased. Her response was, "I don’t know who sent this to you."

If the house was not available anymore, simply just say: it’s not available anymore at this moment. There’s no need to add “as I mentioned….” and there’s no need for that attitude.

Please train your employees properly. At the very least, ensure they are not rude to potential clients.

Worst management I have deal with. Sweet talk during tour and use low price to attract you. But they will find any reason to reject you even you qualify everything.
I suspect they are stealing info from the applicants as the ask you to fill in online first, then call to pay the fee. Then they tell you that someone application is already before you and you will not be considered.

Have x5 income to rent ratio? Don’t bother applying if you don’t have a credit score being a newcomer. They will sweet talk you during your tour and then waste a week of your time being unprofessional validating your application. All that is to just reject you because you don’t have credit score, which I was very open about from the very beginning. Owners signing up with them won’t find a good tenant because they are lazy and only look into 2 metrics - credit score and rental references in the US.
I would stay away.

Just an ok management company. Despite being located in Silicon Valley in 2023, they don't take online payments.

When the washer/dryer units at the property were all broken and the owner decided to not replace them for months on end, someone I talked to tried to blame the residents for not keeping it clean? Which was a weird spin. Played the 'We're just the management company relaying the property owners decision' card too often.

The unit was nice and had no big issues. For the most part everyone I interacted with was pleasant.

Went to go look at a rental the person showing us the house was very rude and didn't even give us a tour. She opened the door and said look around then got on her phone and started calling someone. It looked like she was in a rush. She showed up with a 49ers shirt and hat. Didn't really seem professional. The way she acted and dressed was a big red flag. I don't know if they're all like this but I decide not to submit a application I can only imagine how they'll act as a landlord.

Attempted to rent a home but because of a 615 score and two negative marks from YEARS ago, I was denied (even though I make 6 figures). These guys don't give people the chances they deserve. I'll never rent with VMG nor use them for property management in the future. STAY AWAY! Only proceed if you have perfect credit history, have a fax machine and are okay with using snail mail for payments.

Lloyd I just wanted to write and thank you for your wonderful service over the last two years. I had been managing the two single family home rentals I have for the past 20 years when I ran into a real nightmare situation with a tenant. I looked around for a property manager and found Valley Management Group. What a relief. It is amazing how much of my life I gained back my wife had been asking me for years to get a manager, but I thought I could just keep managing the properties and doing the handy work myself. I would have continued right along with that process, had I not been overwhelmed by a bad tenant and high turnover in a couple year period. When you took over, I knew I had a quality manager in place.

The house was fixed up and not a dime was spent that you did not run by me. You took care of finding quality professionals to do the work that needed to be done and at prices which made me question why I was ever doing all this work on my own. There were no surprises I was really impressed after we selected the new tenants and you did the walk through with them I was happy because I had complete documentation. I could rest at night. And later when I talked with the tenants, they were happy. The mentioned that they had not met a more professional manager in all their years of renting. An added bonus- I could talk with the tenants without worrying about what needed to be done. Valley management would handle those issues.

I am a landlord who needed help renting my house in San Jose. Lloyd and Christina helped me through the process as I was a rookie trying to find a tenant. Both were very knowledgeable, patient, and professional. We worked together perfectly; they were willing to show the property anytime and on short notice. They had great advice and made a professional decision on the right tenant making sure all of the rules and regulations are followed.
