How RL managed to get somewhat of a decent rating at 3.2 is beyond me. I have more than one reason to believe that he has someone on his payroll or something. He is a slumlord and takes advantage of people and has no regard for the safety and upkeep of the properties and is a very dishonest person. He took me to court and flat out lied to get his way of things.

If you get the same “used car salesman” vibe that I did, then listen to your gut. He will not fix anything. You will incur fees for no reason, and you will not get your deposit back. We had mold and rats, and he said under VA law that was my problem. Obviously I know different. Exposed nails sent my 2 year old to the hospital and stitches on his head. I sent pictures to 12 on your side, and they wanted to air and expose this situation. If you search his name 50 different business names pop up along with others taking him to court. I hope you think twice before renting from him. It won’t be different for you.

He is a slum Lord . He does fix thing like. Also don't take he word for anything he went back on his work and started charging me for late fees when we had a deal that I pay every two weeks and that lead for me to leaving the place he is such a bad person ....now he is saying I own him money and he also took my deposit and never gave it back .so he can keep the deposit because he said I own him money

My family has rented from Mr. Dunn for over 15 years. We have had all maintenance issues handled quickly and have had no other issues. The office has always been responsive and honest.

The owner is a very nice and understanding man. He took us in when no where else would and we paid for 3 months upfront. We had that money the entire time looking for other places but bc our credit wasnt the greatest we couldnt even get into the roach/bed bug infested massionettes bc they wanted a credit score background check and make over 3 times the rent. The woman at the front desk Mrs. Dixonwas amazing did everything she could for us in the bind we were in. If it wasnt for these people we would be motel jumping until all our money saved up was gone. They were a godsend. RL Dunn is prob one of the nicest guys I've ever met and hes fair. This isnt the Taj Mahal but it's a step in the door and right direction... no where else would give us that chance even with cash money in hand. I give RL 5 stars bc he is the only person who gave us this chance. If not for him we would be homeless in the middle of winter bc our last landlord of 10+ years decided we had 90 days to vacate the premises bc he decided to do section 8 to get more money off the house than what we were paying. We are more than grateful for his generosity at this time and will help him with things whenever he needs it. RL thank you so much for everything. We are here if you need us!!

Please steer clear of interacting with this business ran by Mr. Dunn and his associates.The properties are absolutely terrible and he’s truly what I’d consider a slum lord. He also has a tendency to treat people of color less than adequately, it’s deeply saddening. He is rude, sarcastic, and overall unpleasant to deal with.

HORRIBLE LANDLORD. CHARGED RIDICULOUS LATE FEES DURING THE PANDEMIC. Never fixes anything, is rude and of geneally poor character. All his properties are below average and overpriced . 1 star because I cannot choose zero stars. Stay clear

I have been here off and on for years. I have had my issues with RL but he tries to make it right in the end.
