What happened this year? In front of the charlotte Hotel/ restaurant & Blarney Stone?
Usually, tables and chairs are set up while the parade is going on. This year, what a mess. They, the business owners, weren't allowed to. I felt so bad for the people from the tavern and Blarney Stone. People started taking their chairs & tables and putting them wherever.
FYI, There's a reason this is done while the parade is going on and the streets are not full. First of all, the correct tables are set up in their appropriate places. Secondly, the servers have an opportunity to establish a number system for the tables so the orders are executed without confusion. Thirdly so there is enough time for the entertainment to be able to set up and perform.
And finally, it just makes sense.
Wouldn't it have been nice when the parade ended, had everything been in its place, and everyone prepared for what comes next.
