I’m assuming you must not ever schedule move out walk throughs, pick up keys, or discuss security deposits with any of your tenants. I would think leaving a voicemail, email, and messages through portal counts as reaching out and would help you identify tenants that you’ve failed. Or simply the fact that you’re missing keys for a unit that is no longer under lease would help you identify the cause of a negative review. Don’t worry. I left keys in the unit and mailed the copy through certified mail with tracking. Your office has the keys. No thanks to any agents or policies you have in place.

I placed my property in their hands for two months. Sent multiple people the link to the property and had them applying. 2 months very little personal contact( biggest complaint). No updates on if it was being shown or anything. For two months. Pictures were a joke advertising the home. No pictures of newly renovated spaces posted online until I requested they update and sent them pictures. Walked into the office to pay the termination fee, and the receptionist had family who was looking to rent, in the area and in the price range. Greatly disappointed in the quantity of communication and quality of advertising. Will be finding new management for my other properties.

They “took over” my account from Keffer Realty and addressed nothing. Never addressed any issues I had once “taking over” Keffer’s bang up job and on my way out they were MIA. Never scheduled a move out walk through. Never came to pick up the keys. Never checked to make sure the unit was empty. Nothing. They couldn’t even tell me they were keeping the deposit (which they shouldn’t). I myself personally rid that place of fleas and German cockroaches from the previous tenant, and had to treat the mold myself MULTIPLE times since the owner refused. I have visits with my doctor to confirm my complaints of mold. I documented everything from the beginning and if necessary I’ll take it as far as it needs to go with Keffer AND Signature. Perfect definition of slumlords and shady practices.

I have worked with this company and agent Stella Stanley for many years and had a great working relationship until recently. I own a couple of properties and I used SPM to market and screen tenants (part of their “a la carte” services). Just getting a hold of someone in the office was turmoil. After 3 weeks of trying to track anyone down via phone, email, or their website, I finally just showed up the office where the receptionist told me they had been “busy”. Another week of loose communication went by and I finally decided to work with a new realtor (Steve Reed) but with the same company. BIG MISTAKE! He was extremely hard to get a hold of, often taking days to respond to my inquiries and when I followed up with the manager (Stella Stanley), I wouldn’t get a response at all. My potential tenants also complained that their calls and messages were often left ignored. One tenant application has taken over 3-4 weeks to process and we still have not received it. We’ve decided altogether to abandon our efforts and just work with a different company. We own 4 properties and we’re ready to sell, SPM will be the last company we choose to call.

I would highly recommend this property management company as a tenant. I have been renting from this company for 5 years now, and I will continue to rent as long as I can because of the strong relationship and support Steve has cultivated. He is AMAZING. From day 1 he has been helpful, considerate, and professional. He is an asset to the team and I hope he is receiving the recognition he deserves. He is quick to respond to any issues we've had. I've rented from several other companies in the Richmond area as I've lived here my whole life. I read through some of the reviews on here and I can't imagine how they would have gotten to those negative conclusions. I can't speak to their experience but as for me it has been nothing but positive. My family is very happy with our home and we have no plans to move any time soon.

I have tried messaging on Facebook. sending emails and leaving multiple phone messages over the course of several days.

This is the most unsat company I have ever been stuck working with.

I am staggered at how unavailable anyone is when you need something.

We are currently working with Wendy and I have to say she is fantastic! A couple of things we love about her: she is quick to respond to questions in email, texts or phone calls. She provides us with updated information about the company, our house etc. and is very upfront about everything we need to know as tenants. We are unfortunately leaving the property due to being a military family and Wendy and signature properties have been great about having to end our lease early and feel prepared and worry free for our move. As tenants with a service member in our family; our lives can be uncertain and we don’t always have great landlords or leasing agents. But here with signature properties and Wendy we have had a great experience.

Couldn't be happier with Signature Property Management. Talked to several different ones before choosing Signature Property. Once I met Stella, I knew I had found the right one. She found tenants in a timely manner and have had the same tenants for over 2 years. Emails and phone calls are returned promptly and I do not have to worry about our property. Maintenance requests are handled quickly with reasonable expense. We live 3 hours away and after finding our own tenants for over 2 years and dealing with everything ourselves, we are so happy that we went with Signature Property. Our property is in good hands and they take care of everything!!
