The Dogwood Manor Apartments are one of several properties owned and managed by RGM. I moved into a renovated apartment in August of 21. My experience with RGM was one of the best, from locating the unit and availability, to meeting Donna Early, moving in, and throughout my tenancy.
Any concerns requiring discussion about the unit, parking, swimming pool, and facilities were handled friendly, professional, and courteous.
The reason for leaving was only due to moving out of state. If I would ever move back to the Vinton, VA area, my first choice would be to contact RGM.

I have lived at Bowman for 6 yrs and I have had a great experience. I will say that Crystal has been a pleasure to work with and so understanding. I would definitely recommend if you need to rent.

After many years of renting from RGM properties, (Brandon West) the conditions of living in their apartments have become more like a prison. You are told when you allowed to have company and even what time to go to sleep. They don’t allow you to watch a movie with a sound bar due to unlisted quiet hours. You are expected to have you visitors park far away from your unlabeled apartment building and even with the company limiting parking with their own construction needs, you are still required to have your guess park in areas that are not accessible. The Property Manager Crystal Kasey has a very unprofessional and unpleasant demeanor and has cause other tenants to move unexpectedly. I have had more notices and violations and complaint when she came over there to run the office than I have in the last 4 1/2 years I lived up there.I live on the third floor by myself. It was never like this when Margaret was managing the office. You only hear from her when it was something important and within reason.

I'm sending you this email to highly compliment some of your amazing employees. Last Friday, I kept smelling gas in my dwelling. I contacted the gas company and they stated it must have been in the line and tagged it. I called Donna in Vinton, she immediately contacted Chris and Don. Chris came out, along with Shawn and was so determined to find the leak, he finally discovered it, it was my stove. He contacted Don, and he came out and confirmed Chris's findings. Shawn was with Chris, I had a leak under my kitchen sink and Shawn efficiently fixed it. I also had some standing water on top of my cooling unit and Chris tighten up the bolt on the condensation pump.
Rich, I have been with this Townehouse complex since 2007, I'm so pleased with living here and Donna, Chris, Shawn, and Don were absolutely amazing, the concern they gave for me and the promptness for getting this situation resolved was above and beyond, it touched my heart deeply.
Please make sure that they are acknowledge for their actions during this time in my place. I thank you again for renewing my lease for another year. The day I leave your property, will be the day I'm leaving the state of Virginia, and I don't plan on doing THAT no time soon!!!(I'm from New York).

RGM Properties has been the best experience I have had with an apartment management company. The office staff is great to work with. They have positive attitudes, are always courteous, and they are the fastest in getting concerns addressed. The maintenance staff do an amazing job at maintaining the property and doing repairs for individual apartments. They are also kind and professional, which has not been the experience I have had elsewhere.

Dogwood Manor sits on a quiet street with no through traffic in Vinton. It's close to restaurants, shopping, and it's 30 minutes away from Westlake Corner near Smith Mountain Lake. Apartments are cat friendly and the view provides plenty of wildlife for the cats to watch. Dogwood's laundry building provides coin-operated washers and dryers for residents that are affordable. It's beside the picnic tables and the pool, which are all well kept.

Now the good stuff! The apartments have a great layout. There is a large kitchen with cabinet/counter space, dishwasher, and disposal. The full size water heater is the largest that I have ever had in an apartment and the closets are large enough I do not have to worry about seasonal storage. Something that is undervalued in most places, the electrical outlets are placed in areas that make sense.

One caution. These are not smoke free buildings, yet. Tenants do not smoke in the interior corridors, but do so at the entrance of the building and in their apartments. While that may not be an issue for some, for non-smokers it may be.

Submitted an application for the apartment that's available on their website, received an email the next morning informing me she needed more information and that the apartment I want is unavailable... but I can't have a refund when the other properties are not what I'm wanting to rent. I most definitely will not be wasting my time nor money when they are being crooked and shady from the beginning you can keep the 40 dollars in sure you'll pocket it you probably need it more than my children who are without a home still because the first application fee I can afford to pay was a dead end and they don't offer refunds even tho they never had to process or anything just look and let my family down.

Office staff are all friendly and work hard to provide you a home, not just a roof over your head. Maintenance staff could not be better. They always are prompt and concerned with solving any issue that may arise. RGM has been the best property management that I have ever rented from.

They were very nice when working with me, asked for a deposit up front to "hold my spot" which I did not understand why as I usually pay deposit for the property with first months rent upon signing the lease. I became unable by current landlord to end current lease, called RGM to let them know. Nothing was signed at all, no lease. I informed her I would not be signing a lease because of situation and she informed me on "the papers" given to me it states they will take part of the deposit even though I never signed anything and was also not given any papers. I am not receiving full amount of deposit on an apartment I had not signed any paper for. Would not attempt to rent from them again.
