Unprofessional. Barely answers their phone, NEVER returns calls. Vaguely answers their emails. Been complaining about the laminate floor tiles pealing up in the kitchen for YEARS. had to replace appliances myself with my own money. Had to replace the kitchen faucet myself. Unless you're a handyman and are willing to fix everything yourself, DON'T rent from this company.

I had a great overall experience. I rented an apartment in the Deer Creek Apartments in Jefferson. I moved out and realized my security deposit was not returned after a couple of months. My fault for forgetting about the security deposit. I emailed Ben , and it turns out it got lost in the mail. Ben was VERY understanding and extremely responsive. He sent another check and letter as soon as he could. I had no issues with Real Estate Specialists.

Waited over 4 months for garage to be repaired because of it opening on its own. Not happy they need a serious management change. The state needs get involved with this shady company.

Lied on lease agreement. Lied about everything. Active mice issue they won’t address.

Complained about mice for over 2 weeks landlord won’t do a thing about it .

Here it is, May 13th, and the sidewalk salt buckets are still in the hallways. I’ve asked three times and nothing has been done.

We also had new lights out in around the complex. The lights are too bright and everyone is complaining about it. Two weeks ago, at the board meeting, Tony was told to tell the lighting people to dim the lights. Nothing has been done.

A friend and I had rented from the Hunter Glen Apartments in a Johnson Creek, WI. We only lived there for one year. The unit had fresh carpet and new counter tops and wood floors. Upon moving out everything was in perfect condition. We paid rent on time every month and were ideal tenants. My roommate had moved out with a few months left in the lease and I had emailed the manager BEN KOSTKA to let him know and that we would not be re signing the lease, well over the 60 day notice requirement. I was told in a phone call with Ben the email notice would be honored and my deposit would be fully returned so I didn’t mail one. He was extremely rude and unprofessional and hung up on my calls twice. Upon move out time I got a letter that they were not only taking our full security deposit, but trying to charge two extra months rent for not mailing in a notice. BEN KOSTKA IS A THIEF AS WELL AS THE OWNER!! I called to speak directly with the owner after I got the letter and he was also very rude. He said he would talk to Ben and call me back. Never got a call back and after breaching our multiple times with no answer I gave up.

Well I wasn't a tenant we called for a place we had to do background and credit check well our credit wasn't 700 or higher that is what Dale wanted and we didn't have a co signer so Dale wanted double security deposit and double rent which is 2400.00 and Dale knows we are in a bind and need a place to rent immediately and we can not come up with that much if I had a credit score of 700 or above I would not be looking to rent. People are right on this site when they say he is a scam artist and will take you for all your money. Please do. Ot rent here!

Absolutely terrible place to rent from. Moved in almost 2 years ago. I pay rent on time every month. I called the "Manager" Dale twice within that 2 years with problems that he refused to fix.
1. WHEN I MOVED IN the apartment DID NOT have any smoke detectors. It's the Law to have them in any rental properties. Dale told me it was my responsibility to get them and I wouldn't be refunded to buy them.

2. After a storm came through last November there were some shingles that got damaged. As a result the roof in my back bedroom leaked and destroyed the light fixture and caused considerable water damage to the ceiling. I again called Dale to get it fixed and he sent someone to fix the shingles on the roof but NEVER came in the apartment to fix the light fixture or to see the water damage caused by the leaking roof.

DO NOT RENT OR WORK WITH/FOR THESE PEOPLE.

Absolutely horrible! We lived in Harbor Ridge apartments for a few years, always paid rent on time, communicated well, and left the apartment extremely clean when we left. The apartment manager (very nice and helpful) told us we made her job easy and that we'd get a full return on our deposit. We received HALF. When looking at the list of "damages", there were both: things that had been damaged before we arrived and recorded on our entry form, and damages that didn't exist! When I called the office FOUR times, I was told 3 times the manager wasn't in, but would call me back. He didn't. On the 4th attempt I finally reached him and he rudely said 'this will take too long to look up, and I don't have time to find your papers.' And hung up. Rude, unprofessional, fraudulent thieves. Avoid at all cost.
