AWFUL does not begin to describe how terrible tenants are treated here.
Carnahan will not turn the heat in in the hallways.
Our small, inadequate laundry is broken again. 3rd time this year. and it is only February.
No matter how much you complain, Carnahan does not fix anything.
Their idea of fixing a faulty electrical outlet. is to cover it up.
Their cure for the roach problem, was to lock our garbage chute. So the roaches just moved into the apartments.
Most of the current tenants are Hispanic and or illegals who are used to being homeless. They have no morals. Carnahan prefers to rent to these Hispanics/Mexicans because they will not stand up and complain.
Find elsewhere to live. You WILL be taken advantage of by Carnahan.
As for mail, its finders-keepers. Staff and tenants steal anything and EVERYTHING not nailed down. Package pirates live here too.
Rent is $1100.00 /month or more, for a run down, old, broken, one BR 500 Sq. Ft. tiny apartment on 39th & National Ave.
Find elsewhere to live. RUN AWAY.

Do not rent here save your own money and go elsewhere, after being there 5 years the sent me a letter for non-renewal they did not give me a reason either. Worst customer service ever and never answer there calls and maintenance men smoke weed and steal your bikes when you're not home. Especially Diana horrible manager ever she is by far a piece of work! She threaten you without upper management giving her authority she violated so many violations with tenants Reception angelic is by far another piece of work and cant count money. Then they send me a letter when I moved I owe 2,000 in what damages that house brand new why dont you check your tenants next to me and see how many people live in one town home mother daughter and there kids grandkids be foreal and I got robbed on my way moving out because they told someone who was going rent that i was evicted

I'm giving this 1 star only because I can't give it zero stars. Since Oakwood Apartments new landlord has taken over this place has gone way downhill. Nothing gets fixed or dealt with. Drug activity is in and out constantly. Other tenants in my building have tried to open other tenants doors to get inside apartments to steal things which resulted in me putting a camera in the hallway because nothing gets dealt with here. I have contacted management who has done nothing I have filed 2 police reports to show the evidence and they just don't care. I do not recommend living here especially if you have children. There is no security in these buildings people come in and out as they please all hours of the night. These are cheap apartments but it's not worth not feeling safe at your own place.

I been at my place for about 16years. In the past few years this place has gone down. The area of course is great. They NEVER changed my carpet. The bathroom upstairs has been needing repair ( we did what we could ) but it NEVER got done. The last maintenance guy was a drunk and did half the work. Overdosed in front of his apartment. Neighbor threaten my son for playing ball with his friends. There is so much more. Before you decide to move in the Miller parkway area do.your research. Not worth the rent. Thank goodness we are moving

I give this company a ZERO. Don’t move into Deer Crossing Apartment or sign a lease with this company. I have been at DC for a year and there is no maintence to fix anything. I found out my heat has been turned on all year long. The thermostat is broken. Maintenance didn’t want to deal with it. Basically the unfix pipe in my apt had been burning me and my child alive in the summer. My apartment is 70-89 degrees all year round. This company has no ethicals nor do they fix anything. They should really be sued for causing bodily harm to their tentants.

I have been trying to get my entry door replaced since my first winter, it doesn’t fit the hole, it is too small.
That was three years ago. Now I have a hole in my laundry room ceiling from a leak that happened almost two weeks ago. And there is now a leak under my kitchen sink which the after hours maintenance person hasn’t responded to.

And every winter my furnace never starts the way it’s supposed to so we go without heat for at least a day.
Not to mention the birds that are in the furnace. Because there is no covering on the chimney.

This company has many ongoing issues with their Brewers Point Apartments and does not respond timely to fix them. The security camera system has been offline for months. The poor lighting in the parking lot and the underground parking is so bad, it is just a matter of time before someone get assaulted. There are regular car break ins. Our car has been broken into 3 times in six months because they won’t fence the parking lot or provide suitable lighting. Recently, many cars had the windows smashed and other damages, but Carnahan has done nothing to date to correct the concerns, but keeps increasing rent. The elevator frequently breaks down and is not fixed for days at times. The building manager is a wonderful person who is working very hard to get things done, but the leadership at Carnahan keep blocking things from getting completed. Please just do the right, fair and appropriate thing to the address these and other issues.

I live next door to Brewer's Point. Their Riverwalk landscaping is solid weeds and never maintained. The apartments are next door to Lakefront Brewery so they get a lot of foot traffic. They seldom empty their outdoor garbage cans, so I expect to see rats... Parking lot has a 10 foot barbed wire fence around it which makes it look like a prison and they call these "Luxury Apartments." Nothing about it seems luxury to me.
