Had an issue with them early this month but today and yesterday did a great job helping me out so my review is 4 instead of 1 Star.

Could go back to 5 Star in the future.

They cannot do basic banking on a Saturday. I needed to get an IRA set up and unfortunately they could not get an override and my drive from Ramona was wasted. I'm definitely getting another credit union. That's much more reliable

The employee who got my account set up put in literally everything wrong. First was my email address. Which when I asked her four times if I should be getting any confirmation emails now that I’ve made an account, she brushed me off and outright ignored me. When asked to use my security code to log in to the app, she apparently spelled my last name wrong which was the security code. And again brushed it off and said “oh well it should work in about half an hour. Try a few more times and it should work.” I did, and ended up locked out of the account that wasn’t even up for an hour. Two weeks later, when my card had not arrived, found out she put my address in incorrectly so my card was sent to another house across town. The customer service rep this time had the nerve to ask “do you want to deactivate the card orrrrrr you think they’ll send you your card back?” Like they think some random stranger will know my correct address and send it back? On top of that they could not express my card so I could actually use it, because “they can’t rush a new card over the phone.” It’s been a month now, nothing in my account has been correct since opening it and I still don’t have my card. Which as soon as I get it I will be closing my account. To put icing on the cake, I was sent two survey emails to review my experiences with this company, and the link does not work, just reloads the page asking me to fill out the survey. Great job, not.

I had a great experience with branch. There was an issue with a refund made to a closed account of mine.

After some back and forth with the merchant Jennifer the assistant branch manager was able to get me a refund. I’m grateful her help and felt my money was handled well.

This is the best credit union in the world! The people there are genuinely concerned about every member. You’ll be very impressed by the professional, yet down to earth staff members eager to greet you with a smile. These guys are #1 in my book,. Do yourself a favor, go out and meet manager Kirk Gentry & assistant manager Monica Smith at the El Cajon branch. You’ll see what I mean.

This review has more to do with NICU as a whole, and not just this specific location. The credit union has been going downhill for years. Nothing they do wrong surprises me anymore. They closed the Santee branch, which was the most convenient branch for me, so now I'm forced to go to the El Cajon branch. However, for me, the most frustrating thing has been their disappearing app announcement. All last year (just about) we were teased with an advertisement on the NICU website that discussed a NICU app coming in early 2013. It's now April, the posting is gone, and there's been no word.

Ive been here for the past hour to open account and not one banker that has passed by me and has made eye contact has smiled or said we will be with you shortly nothing. 2 people have already left. Aurora Rico excelete service thank you!
