We first met with Chris Wentzein in 2008. At that time, we had our investments at financial institutions from previous employers. Chris reviewed our investments and determined that we were paying rather high fees that were difficult to identify. The first year after we changed to the investment firm Chris recommended, we saved twice his annual fee. During the 10 years we worked with Chris, he guided us toward a safe and profitable retirement. It has been seven years since we retired, and, in spite of withdrawing my RMD and using some funds for home improvements, our investments are more than twice what we had when we first met with Chris. His advice has always been very sound, and the results speak for themselves. The only reason we stopped working with Chris is that he set us up so well that we no longer needed his services. Chris's insights, integrity, caring, and expertise are exemplary. The entire team at NBFA is blindingly competent, affable and always available to answer questions and provide information. And their newsletter, written by Moana, a financial adviser in training, is really funny! I actually look forward to my face-to-face visits with them, which will resume when the pandemic is over.
