Jessica is fantastic, but Catherine is about the worst agent anyone can go with. We had an accident in August 2023 where the person hit our vehicle while he was backing out of a parking space, and upon seeking the office for help we're just handed the State Farm Claims department phone number, as well as a copy of the DMV SR-1 form to fill out for ourselves. My mother is not conversant in English, and Catherine flat out told her to have someone else call in her stead; the agent would have nothing to do with the whole process.

The service attitude was dismissive to say the least; the gist of the whole exchange was that she (Catherine's) very busy, don't bother her or waste her time, just get the whole thing done ourselves. We have since switched over to another agent, who is much friendlier and more responsible when you run into issues. Do yourself a favor, and get an agent who is actually willing to do the work; in our case, this is in exchange for the almost 20 years of insurance fees we paid her. In all these years, we had so few accidents in our hosehold, that we can probably count the number of accidents we had on one hand only.

EDIT: Just to make things clear, we were told to submit the claims ourselves, Catherine would have nothing to do with it. And after that's done, apparently now she asserts nothing she says would change the decision of the claim. So when does the agent's office do anything, if they won't help a non-English speaker file a claim?

One of the main reasons our family went with this office in the first place, is because of the assumed help/service in Mandarin. Not that that makes any difference, if we are expected to do the work in initiating claims, while the agent is the one collecting insurance fees.

I greatly appreciate Jessica Lopez-Garcia for helping me and my wife get insurance for our car and apartment. She is very friendly and knowledgeable, always going the extra mile to make sure you get what you need. I did not know much about insurance, but she made it very easy for me to get insurance on an old car and then transfer the insurance to a new vehicle later. She is always very prompt to respond to phone and email, and she was always happy to provide quotes and answer any questions I had. She showed me which discounts I qualified for and explained how getting rental insurance through State Farm could lower my car insurance payment.
