Living at The Icon has been such an amazing experience! One of the biggest highlights has been how incredibly helpful the staff are, especially Solana. She went above and beyond from the very beginning — she was so helpful during the tours, always made sure I had all the information I needed, and was super responsive whenever I had any questions. Solana truly made the whole process smooth and welcoming!

The apartment itself has so many amazing amenities that made living here even better — a full gym, rooftop access with beautiful views, a study room perfect for getting work done, and so much more! I also loved how many community bonding events were always happening; it made it so easy to meet new people and really feel at home.

I’m honestly going to miss living here so much. Thank you to everyone, especially Solana, for making The Icon such a great place to live!!

I had a great experience at ICON Gardens! The service was amazing, especially thanks to Solana. She was super helpful from the start, answering all my questions quickly and giving me all the information I needed. She also gave me a full tour of the property and even shared her own opinions and experience, which I really appreciated. She made the whole process easy and enjoyable. Solana was very helpful and accommodating on a tour that me and my friends did when we didn’t make an appointment. We had a lot of concerns about living off campus next year and asked a lot of questions and she was able to answer all of them. She showed us both buildings they have and the views were the best I’ve seen in IV. I highly recommend checking it out as my friends and I will be applying!

This apartment complex needs better management. There have been several issues since my daughter started renting here. There were roaches the day we moved her in. Management told us it was due to the next door apartment being filthy, so they had to come spray my daughter’s apartment several times until the roaches were finally gone. I couldn’t understand why this wasn’t taken care of before her, and her roommates moved in. They also had termites in the baseboards that also had to be sprayed on different occasions.
My daughter pays an additional $150 per month so that she can park her car in their parking garage, but that has also been a very frustrating situation due to people parking so close to the garage doors that she can’t even move her car out of the garage (pictured).
At 9:00am on a Sunday and she needs to leave for work but as you can see in the photo the black Jeep is parked so close to the wall of the garage that she can’t get her car out. She tried contacting the tow company but they cannot tow without authorization from management. The office doesn’t open until 12:00pm. I have left several messages, but it’s now 11:00am and we still haven’t heard from anyone and the car is still there. The sheriff’s office is not able to help because the car is parked on private property. As you can see in the photo there is nothing painted on the driveway that reads “no parking”. There is no emergency number listed on the office window instructing tenants who to call in an emergency situation with the apartment, so the only option she has is to wait until the office opens at 12:00.
If you decide to rent here be prepared to be frustrated!

Really nice people in the main office, went for a tour and Alicia really went above and beyond ! She answered all mine and my family’s questions and even provided snacks and drinks for us ! We got to speak to some of the residents there as well about how they felt living here and got their thoughts too. Overall a really great tour of Icon! Thank you Alicia ! x)

I lived at Icon for a year and loved it, and the entire time Solana was especially amazing! She answered all my questions with patience and clarity, making sure I fully understood everything related to getting my ESA registered, questions about my lease and reletting my spot! She was incredibly sweet and kind throughout the whole process. She basically sold me on the place. Highly recommend touring with her at icon if you can!

Worst place I’ve ever lived in Isla Vista. The problems I had in my year of living here were endless, even after they fired the property manager and replaced him, this apartment and its management are always in a state of disarray. Overrated and Overpriced.

I recently renewed my lease at ICON above 7-Eleven. Its a great place that is worth the price. Access to gym, pool tables, and a sunroof, as well as all the amenities at ICON Gardens across the street. I am currently in a room with a sundeck that has a view of the ocean on one side and the mountain view on the other, which can also be seen on the sunroof. The staff were also kind and helpful, but one of the staff in particular, Solana, was amazing. She was super helpful in my move-in struggles and she has provided valuable assistance numerous times, like when i locked my self out of my dorm. I'm thankful fir the help that she and the other staff have provided. I highly recommend staying at ICON
