I called today at 9:16 AM and spoke with Kevin regarding a coverage transfer. I recognized his voice from a previous call, and once again, he was exceptionally kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. His consistent professionalism and warmth truly made my day. I greatly appreciate high-quality customer service, and Kevin exceeds that standard.

Customer service is absolutely horrible—rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. It felt like they didn’t care at all and had no interest in actually assisting me. I called to understand why the insurance policy only covers up to five people in my apartment, and instead of politely explaining, the representative spoke to me with an attitude and even told me my question was irrelevant. I was treated like I was stupid for simply trying to understand the policy. If it weren’t required by my apartment, I would never use this insurance company. Extremely disappointing experience.

I tried cancelling my rental insurance back in June of 2024 however I have still been charged monthly. I recently tried to call again to cancel and was told I never made an attempt to cancel in the past and was requested to provide proof of my new insurance policy with another company to receive any refund. I submitted the proof they requested, I still have not gotten my refund for the months I was charged after requesting a cancellation. I would not recommend this company.

I recently got Renters insurance for my new apartment, however realized they took the entire bill when I selected monthly payments, so I called and spoke with a representative I wrote her name down however I don't have it now. I informed her that I was out of town and needed my money put back into my account. She stated to me it would take 3 to 5 days, (of which I feel is not fair) they take it out right away, so why should I have to wait for my money back, needless to say I waited 5 business days and no money deposited, so I called back to find there was some weird hookup in the system that didn't deposit my money back into my account after waiting 5 business days, so I had to wait additional 2 days. There was no apology. They care nothing about your livelihood, just getting money.

1 star for everything else including service and scam

You can literally find any other insurance and other places will almost always give you a better rate with same plan you will take from eRenterPlan

It is extremely horrible the fact they do not have good customer service and do not have easy cancellation system. As majority people spoke, I have been charged 4 months now for a place I moved out of, I even cancelled policy and paid the end month difference when I found out but for whatever reason it wasn't cancelled and it has been auto withdrawing money from my account.

I just went ahead and cancelled the policy but the policy cancellation is only on pending and not actually cancelled. I'm afraid they will most likely will continue to withdraw so I am planning to put in claims for these since I do not live in the said address anymore.

Anyone that is still being charged by this company listen up:

If you guys are no longer living in a apartment complex that requires you to use this insurance company, this is what you need to do. Close your bank checking account and open up another, don't try to get rid of your debt card in the system because it won't work, I tried to do that but still got charged until I closed my checking account. If you guys still getting charged by this company by opening up another checking account after closing your previous checking account that was charged by using the same bank, I would leave that bank alone for a little while and use a different bank in the meantime, hope this helps you guys.

The company is great! If you enjoy getting charged for a plan you cancelled 4 months prior, and then to find out you were getting charged for ANOTHER plan for a year and a half, for an apartment YOU NEVER LIVED IN. Even better when you call to cancel it and one, they act like they are clueless when I bring it up and then say they canceled it, then to get charged the following month for the same plan they “canceled”. This company's a joke and I would give it 0 stars if I could. If you have to use these people for renters insurance I would STRONGLY recommend a 3rd party that actually knows what they’re doing.

my disappointment with the poor customer service I have received from your company. I have been a customer for about an year, and while signing up was an easy process, canceling my service has been an absolute nightmare.
When I requested to cancel my insurance, I was met with unprofessional and dismissive behavior. It felt as though your company no longer cared about me as a customer the moment I decided to leave. Additionally, when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that my request would be handled, only for the call to be abruptly disconnected.
It is shocking that a company with such poor customer service is still in business. Treating customers in such a disrespectful manner is unacceptable, and I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to report these issues.
