I cannot say enough good things about these people. They are efficient, quick, and kind. The vets here are no nonsense and blunt. I have no doubt without their intervention at 2am, my cat would have died. (they had him sedated, triaged, initially treated, and settled into a kennel for an overnight within a hour and a half but our case was pretty straight forward for diagnosis)

My cat, Over the course of 3 days had to stay at after hours 3 times due to needing to be hospitalized and needing intensive care. My cat had to be transferred back and forth multiple times and I got the same treatment every last time. I truly only wish that the vets here did primary care as well, and they would be my go to vet. (For you new comers to Fairbanks all the vets swap out who does night shift coverage across the area)

I’ve read the many good reviews and negative. I honestly was concerned going here but was pleasantly surprised to find how great these people are.

Thank you all at after hours for how much you helped us and cared for our cat.

i wish i could give zero stars. this place is horrible. 2 years ago we brought my pitbull juice there because he was not breathing. they told us to wait in the parking lot for 12 hours plus. finally another vet open we took him there and they took him back immediately. unfortunately because of the refusal of help from this “VET ER” my friend one of the best dogs in the world had passed away. now today they are refusing to help another one of my dogs because in their eyes “it’s not an emergency”. THIS PLACE TREATS ANIMALS AND THIER FAMIKY LIKE TRASH. sadly this is the only 24/7 emergency vet in my place of residence.

My little dog was attacked by a much bigger dog so I took her here, they were so kind and friendly. They took such good care of my dog, and helped me feel better at the same time. I really appreciate the whole team at this clinic. Keep up the great work!!

My Boxer was suffering some severe health issues and at 4am it became painfully clear she couldn't wait until our Vet opened and would need to be put to sleep immediately. I called in and they took all our information and were ready to address everything she would need before I left my house. When we showed up they let us in immediately and when she was unable to stay on the scale alone they let my husband hold her to keep her calm and safe then just subtracted his at the end. The vet came out within 3 minutes and administered a sedative, then she allowed 4 of us to hold our girl the entire time she was being tended to. When our girl was gone they let us stay as long as we wanted and the tech walked us through everything and was extremely patient and thorough.

They made what was one of the most painful mornings as easy as possible for us and my girl, and I will always be thankful for that.

We're traveling with our k9. We were up in Coldfoot when our girl developed some symptoms. Called the clinic and she was super helpful. She had us come right down. They were able to get her in as soon as we arrived. Within 2 hours we were back on the road. The clinic did complete blood work and exray but found nothing to be alarmed with fortunately. One suggestion she gave me as I left turned out to be the solution. Yes, we paid alot for the service but in our situation, this was exactly what we needed for our own piece of mind. Really pleased with the service and we've been around.

Worst vet in town. Took my elderly cat there last year because he was no longer able to pee due to urinary crystals and was visibly in a ton of pain. We rushed to the only vet clinic available at 11pm in hopes that they could make him feel better. Long story short, the vet my cat was put with was aggressive and very uncaring with him, not to mention us as well. The solution they gave us was to pump him full of fluids so he could be cleared of the crystals naturally. Because, you know, giving a cat that hasn't peed in days even MORE fluids is a perfectly wise choice! We took him home around two hours later and his condition only worsened. The next morning we called Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital as soon as they opened so we could get a second opinion. They were able to squeeze my cat in even though they had a full schedule. They were so kind to him, and you could tell they really valued his wellbeing. He stayed there for multiple days getting treatment (such as draining all of the fluids this vet put into him in the first place.) We were told that if he had been left untreated for even a couple more days he would have died. He's since had a perfect recovery and is back to himself 100%. I would recommend literally ANY other vet in Fairbanks. This one only cares about money. So incredibly sad to read other reviews saying their pets died due to this place's treatment (or lack thereof.) Please do not waste your money here. I hope the doctor that treated him no longer works here.

An excellent veterinary clinic. Everyone with whom I’ve dealt with has been very talented, gentle, compassionate and caring. We have taken all 3 of our dogs there at various times of need. I prefer going there not only for their experience but for the calm and private atmosphere. Our most recent visit was on Sunday when we had to euthanize our German Shepard- and I cannot thank the staff enough for their thoughtfulness, kindness and gentle touch given to both us and our beloved pet. A huge thank you and much gratitude for your help.

amazing. my dog was vomiting for two days and i thought it was stress as we had just adopted him but he threw up brown and it smelled like feces and my mind immediately went to the worst case scenario. i called and the lady on the phone was so calm and listened to me rapidly spitting out the words i could muster in my panic. when we got there we filled out the paperwork and they let us sit in our car (limited patients in clinic due to covid i assume) we made it in and they were so sweet with my boy and very calm and were very patient with me as my grammar and thoughts were not working the way they would in a normal situation. they were so patient and kind with my boy and worked with my price range as i couldn’t afford much but they did their absolute best to help me. they were amazing. although a horrible situation to be in as a pet owner, they made it the most welcoming and comforting environment for both me and my boy. thank you guys! (my dog is alright now and back to his normal self!)
