They say that they have caught up on back logs yet they are still working on a back log. They fail to meet federal time frames on ALL of thier services. They will deny assistance and site statue numbers that actually support the applicant but most people aren't familiar with policy and procedures. The call center is unable to answer most inquiries and you cannot speak with a supervisor rather you must wait 48 hours for a supervisor to call you back ( no call backs on holidays or weekends). Only 10 days into heating assistance and already have a back log. Federal laws require the application to be worked within 45 days it was 71 days and only then because I had a lawyer. If you have to deal with the DPA get help from ALASKA LEGAL SERVICES.

I filed for Medicaid for my daughter and myself. We waited about 6 months and were told to refile. I refiled, but it’s been another 6 months. They are refusing to go forward with an approval or denial. They have everything they need from me. I need help. I call the office and I can NEVER get through to the emergency line.

This has been a continuous problem in the state of Alaska and other states with the same behavior passive aggressive speaking to customer service here in Alaska my experience was

I arrived here June 26th of this year 2024
I waited 2 months can transfer my benefits for plan D and for Medicaid. Informed immediately Wednesday, June 26, 2024
Then if I use the phone I have to wait 3 hours
Now I have to wait another month to receive my full benefits for Social Security.

I only went there to vote. Their hours of operation were accommodating and very much appreciated . The people working there were polite, friendly and helpful. The experience was good. Supervising it did not take long at all to vote. I will continue to vote there.

They give you a thousand ways to deny you things that you need point blank and that window of opportunity is smal I'm ashamed that I had to do it but I mean I wish I had enough money where I didn't cuz they suck all I want to do is deny you and then move on to the next what is thisl

I gave this place three stars cuz it's really unfortunate that they're closed on Mondays and Fridays only open 3 days out of the week only till 3:00 p.m.. really hard to get in here for anyone with a job because of such limited open time

I am totally confused as to what happens when you are down on your luck and you are desperately trying to get back on your feet but... you are in need of help with your family and food... we are taught at a young age to help out those who are down on their luck they are very Rude and the receptionist was just awful and intrusive to things that have had nothing to do with my family or our welfare issues
