Buying with Aalto couldn’t have been easier. We previously worked with a traditional real estate agent and didn’t get much in the way of support. With Aalto, it was an incredibly collaborative experience. Their team took the time with us gave us advice, filtered out the noise, and ultimately helped us make smart decisions.

That input helped us walk away from a home we were interested in that would have had significantly more structural repairs needed than we initially thought. Closing was a breeze and in such a competitive housing market, it was great to know that we were not only buying the home of our dreams, but saving most of the commission!

As younger buyers, we appreciated how Aalto simplified the process online but also how personable the team was. We got a ton of support from them throughout the process, especially from Michelle and Chelsea, who really helped us feel comfortable as first time buyers. We also loved and took advantage of Aalto’s coming soon section on their website. We had a pretty specific set of criteria when looking for homes, especially when it came to location. There was an off-market home in the zipcode we were interested in, and we were able to be the first to tour it and make an offer. We ultimately saved about $50,000 buying with Aalto, which we were able to put toward our closing costs. We couldn’t recommend Aalto more.

I loved that Aalto had a team of multiple agents available to answer our questions and advise us on exactly what to look for during open houses so we could be a more informed buyer. My wife and I had an unbelievable experience using Aalto last year. We were due to have our second child and needed to both sell our home and find a new (and bigger!) place to live while my wife was 8 mos pregnant. Aalto allowed us to be very selective in our search- and to do so late at night after work and once our oldest was asleep. Having this autonomy and flexibility was critical for us as two full time working parents. Lucky for us, we found our dream home on Aalto very quickly. The home was not listed on MLS and we had a very authentic and personal experience working directly with both the seller and our agents. Best decision we ever made- we absolutely love our new home and neighborhood. For any working family with young kids, I highly recommend using Aalto to find the home of your dreams.

Wow, I had a very similar experience as Carlo. They try to get you on the phone for "onboarding" when the website for their marketplace is straightforward and basic as compared to the other real estate listing platforms. I pointed out that they market it as the "tools to do it yourself", "self-serve", "less complicated by removing friction", yet they want to "onboard" you on the phone. It's a standard sales tactic for selling their monthly subscription package. The VP of Customer Service is rude and presumptuous. Why would I pay for something before I determine if it has any value proposition and with poor customer service to boot? Meh, hard pass.

The absolute worst customer experience with the VP of Brokerage Services/Customer Experience that involves baseless assumptions, a long email thread, and Aalto not living up to their mission statement. The concept is appealing, but they fail to deliver on the execution of these principles.
