I had a deeply frustrating experience with Angela as my rental agent. Despite my application being straightforward—given that Section 8 would cover the rent—Angela chose to focus on irrelevant details, like my credit report, and ultimately declined my application over issues that simply didn’t apply. Her handling of the process was unprofessional, inefficient, and showed a lack of understanding about her own responsibilities.

From the first interaction, it was clear Angela lacked both knowledge and communication skills. Each response was dismissive, and she seemed unqualified to handle the requirements of her role. The experience has been a waste of time and energy, and I regret ever reaching out. I would not recommend working with her if you’re seeking a smooth, respectful, and competent rental process.

Hello, Here's my two cents regarding Angela and AMA Property Management.
I've always managed my own rental properties but when the tenant of my property in the Ingleside area of SF recently became vacant I decided to hire a professional management firm this time around. After interviewing a few firms and checking references I retained Angela and her company to manage my very nice just enovated 1917 working man's cottage. I've found her to be a good listener, able to assess the current rental market, and in possession of excellent follow up skills. Locating a good tenant during the holiday season is not ideal, but she stuck with it, had open houses, screened out applicants that did not meet standards for references/financials, and arranged and managed the execution of necessary rental documents.
So far she's met or exceeded my expectations.

If you’re a landlord considering AMA Property Management to represent your property, think twice. In my experience, agents here don’t always prioritize what’s best for the property or work with the landlord’s best interests in mind. Instead, they tend to create unnecessary obstacles, focus on irrelevant details, and complicate the application process.

Communication with AMA Property Management can be difficult and slow. They often take too long to respond and don’t seem as invested in selecting quality tenants as a landlord would be. If you want a smooth, efficient process and someone who genuinely cares about your property’s success, you may be better off managing it yourself or finding a company that will truly represent your needs.

Angela was organized and very responsive, even during weekends or evenings.
