I rented a home in Fort Smith from this company. Same as all the other bad reviews about them. They are nice on the front end but will outrageously charge you on the back end. I’ve never not gotten back money from my security deposits but ARG has decided to actually charge more money for mostly “painting” (which is the majority of the reasons I see on these reviews). What could easily be touch up painting, they have decided to repaint entire walls.

Do not rent from this company. Go anywhere else!

I’ve been renting from ARG for a while now and I couldn’t be more pleased with them. Their communication is great; they are always quick to respond to requests and keep you informed every step of the way. Marcus Puentes, the maintenance manager, is incredibly responsive in addressing any issues that arise. He is professional, efficient, and truly goes above and beyond to ensure everything is taken care of. Overall I recommend ARG for anyone looking for rental needs!

Worst Property Management Experience Ever!

I cannot express how completely disgusted I am with this company. We were charged an outrageous $5,000 fee just to move out early, which is beyond excessive and borderline extortionate. To make matters worse, they kept our entire deposit and then added an additional $131 charge for materials and paint. We left the property in decent condition, yet somehow we were billed nearly $2,000 for "repairs" because we hung a few pictures on the wall. Absolutely predatory and greedy behavior. It’s clear they’re just looking for any way to take advantage of tenants. Stay far away from these people—they're nothing but scammers in my book.

My year long lease at one of ARG properties in Conway, AR was the best lease experience I have ever had. Any maintenance issues were handled immediately and Burlin was always responsive to any questions. I would 100% rent a property from them again.

DONT RENT FROM ARG (American Residential Group)

Me and and couple friends rented a house, we have lived together for years and have never had any issues with landlords. We always take care of our responsibilities and don’t cause out-of-the-ordinary wear and tear. We paid a 1300 deposit and then 1350 a month for our first 6 months, after that they raised our rent to 1570. During that 6 months they did two 120+ page reports on our house, excessive and a slight invasion of privacy imo, they only did one more of these during the next 6 month lease. At the end of that lease they increased our rent again to 1790. We just moved out and they gave us Ds on every single item on their 120 page report, obviously an oversight/shortcut by the hourly employee they pay. We take care of our stuff and spent 3 days deep cleaning. They are charging us over 1400 for minor repairs and cleaning we already did. The company is overbearing, too expensive, and unfair. We have had nothing but issues with the sink, dishwasher, the automatic locks and other small things. Do not rent from these fools, unless you like paying more than your fair share.

ARG is by far the best rental company I've ever rented from. The house is well-maintained, and any issues that arise are addressed promptly by both the administration and maintenance team. Marcus Puentes, in particular, has been exceptional in handling the majority of our maintenance requests. He is always respectful and consistently takes the initiative to improve our quality of life, going above and beyond to ensure our home is in great condition. I highly recommend starting your rental home search with ARG.

I applied to rent a property from this company on 12-30-24 an approximately 11:30 P.M. The comp any responded back 8 hours later and informed me the home is not available. They sent me a list of different properties that is not what I am looking for. I asked them to refund my application fee since the house is not available and I would have not applied for this house is I would have known that. I was told the application fee is not refundable. I said so the house became unavailable overnight with in 8 hours? I am requesting a refund since the home is not available.

Maintenance is top notch. Had a few things wrong with the entry doors and John was able.to get everything fixed. He also sprayed for bugs. Unbelievable maintenance person. ARG has been nothing but professional and helpful in every possible way. Tha is ARG, I'll be raving about you to anyone looking to rent.
