I was referred to APG by the Independent Insurance Agents of VA. They told me about Monty Dice. My wife and I are looking for life insurance quotes for our parents. When I called I was told that their agent Katie Trimble handles their life insurance business line. I spoke with Katie over the phone and had a pleasant and informative phone call. She emailed me her contact and told me what info to send to her.
Both my wife and I retrieved the answers from our parents and emailed everything to Katie. I didn’t hear back anything for a couple of days (first sign but I didn’t make it a big deal); so I decided to call just to make sure she received it and had everything. She confirmed that she did and was just running it by her underwriter.

Unfortunately, that’s the last time I’ve heard anything after many weeks. I called and spoke to the receptionist who told me she was on the other line, so I left a voicemail. I then sent an email to reach out. I definitely gave her the benefit of the doubt as I understand she may be busy. However, it’s quite obvious at this point that she doesn’t want to move forward with us for some unknown reason. I just wish she would have responded; even if she or her underwriter didn’t want to move forward. We could respect that at least.

I think it’s highly unprofessional and insolent to not even bother to follow up. In any event, we are moving forward with another agent and they’ve been at least responsive and very upfront.

I don’t recommend APG or Katie at all if you’re looking for personal/individual life insurance. Perhaps they just value companies more.
