I've been wanting to go to Bank Street Cafe for sometime, & finally got to last Friday. My sandwich (brie & blackberry) was soooooo good & Karen was a delight. Plan on going back soon!

Ron and Karen opened their Cafe to give back to the Boydton community, and they are doing just that. You walk in and are immediately drawn to the walls full of historic pictures of Boydton, historic newspapers, and beautiful photographs of Virginia. While you are taking that in, you hear a welcome and a warm greeting from Karen and Ron. You see friends visiting with friends and you make new friends too. You are pointed to the blessing table where if you see something you can use, you can take it with you for free! Also, if you have something to share, you can leave it on the blessing table for someone else. Oh yeah, I haven't even mentioned the food and goodies, oh the googies!!! There are light breakfast items, quiches and frittatas, tarts in baked cups covered with fruit. There are wonderful sandwiches that can be toasted and are bursting with flavor. Soups are available on certain days where soup can warm the heart. Oh, and the goodies, yes, the goodies! Every kind of cupcake imaginable, cannolis, and other special desserts all made fresh and full of love. Did I mention that no tipping is permitted? What? Yep, that is part of their giving back to the community. So, if you want an inviting place to visit or gather, where you can enjoy a delightful meal, come and see Ron and Karen. You will be glad you did, and you'll definitely be back for another visit soon.
