Banker's saved my family around $1500/yr on our insurance. Switched from Nationwide who I had been with for almost 20 yrs. Nationwide couldn't touch the rates Banker's was giving me and with better coverage. Down side, you don't get the customer service, like you would get from a big company. Because they are a broker who sells many different companies they are the middle man and don't always know what is going on. Example: when we first switched I kept getting letters from the company who actually carried the policy about cancellation due to non-payment. That was only a week after making the switch. I had paid, but because I paid Banker's directly they delayed the payment to the policy holder. Took a lot more work on my end to sort it all out, but did save a lot of money. I have never had to file a claim so I can't speak to what that experience is like.

I am exhausted by the agents I have had over the last four decades. I always hang up feeling like I was bothering them. I understand everyone’s demeanor is different but a tone of friendliness would be nice. The receptionists have always been kind.

I reviewed the insurance my parents had with this company for over 40 years. As the owner of a real estate title insurance and settlement Co. I have seen thousands of policies. The homeowners through Bankers was THE BIGGEST RIPOFF of a consumer I and many other professionals have ever seen. Combined auto & home for a single individual was over $8000. A home inspection and security system were made a requirement, adding further to the cost. I shopped it and found IDENTICAL coverage with a major carrier for less than $3400. That’s $3400 vs. $8000.
Bankers Charlottesville is a rip-off greed fest.
