Our experience was not good at all. Our account manager, S . Vlasto,, a partner, didn’t update our account beneficiary after a significant life event, our marriage. He kept forgetting, or in his words, “it just didn’t happen.” (Way to take responsibility.) He finally took care of it two years later. That took him two years to accomplish.. But the unprofessional administration of our account is only the beginning and only a small reason as to why we’d never recommend this firm.

Bernhardt took for themselves an exorbitant amount of money each year to perform very small updates to our account. Im fact, In the 6 years we were with them, our accounts grew marginally while they lined their pockets substantially.

We finally decided enough is enough, and switched our portfolio to UBS, and are very happy there, Bernhardt responded (retaliated) by promptly cutting us off from our accounts. No transition. We were left with no user access to one of our Ameritrade accounts. Eighteen months later, with UBS’s guidance, we finally located it and it contains $8,000+. We are grateful to now have our hands on that money, our money. And, we can’t stress this enough, we’ve finally taken a sigh of relief not to have to deal with Bernhardt’s staff one more moment.
