Save yourself the trouble—don’t lease from BG Lein Management!

I moved into a BG Lein Management apartment in September 2024 and had a terrible experience over four months.

The leasing agent, Dawn, was dismissive and made a joke about handling domestic disputes instead of calling the police, which should have been a red flag. The apartment had a broken front door upon moving in and that took two weeks to fix, and my downstairs neighbors constantly left outside doors unlocked, were loud, and used common areas as storage.

Things escalated when my apartment was broken into due to their negligence. After a police report and an emergency repair request, management took days to respond. They poorly fixed the door, only adding screws without addressing the damage properly.

To add insult to injury, I received a notice about “foul smells” and a dog on the property—despite me never having a dog or any pet. When I tried to seek clarification, Dawn was rude and unhelpful. They even added a $600 fee for the nonexistent dog without responding to my emails.

Ultimately, I had to break my lease with BG Lein Management. Although they agreed to refund my security deposit, they still deducted fees for cleaning a perfectly maintained apartment. I have photos to dispute their claims, but I couldn’t be bothered to deal with their incompetence any longer.

They recently took over our building.. There was a problem with roaches in one of the apartments, and I saw a few in ours. They took care of it almost immediately, and the exterminator comes out every few months to treat the apartments to make sure that they don't come back. There was also a big rot problem here on the grounds, and they took care of that.
They have taken care of repairs and deducted some money from our rent, because we bought fixtures that we wanted before they made the repairs.
I don't have any complaints. I feel that they are a fair company.

Dry your hose from the dryer to the outside and did it poorly. When that same company replaced our water heater they removed the heating exhaust hose from our furnace and did not attach it. I did not know this. That happened over a year ago the loud noises Kept getting louder when I looked and saw that the exhaust hose from the furnace was off, I called b g lein management and they sent someone immediately and corrected both problems and properly secured them iI am so grateful.

I have a parking stall where the birds are in the trees above the stall.
I asked the management company if I could move to another stall and that was not possible. However, they chopped the branch were the birds nest and they poop on my car, and i'm just so grateful to this company because they work with you.

I lived at the Garden Circle apartments for two years and had a great experience. Any time I ran into an issue they were quick to respond and assist. Very responsive and fair. They have a skilled maintenance team who were always respectful, efficient and fast. Truly a great team!

This will be our 3rd place we’ve had with them and they have always helped us with any unit issues, maintenance, you name it we have always been taken care of by them in a hurry even after hours! The office staff and maintenance has always been extremely helpful as well.

If I could leave no stars I would. Lived in evergreen apts on 95th and oklahoma for 3 yrs. Never again will I do a month to month lease. They raised my rent 300$ within the first year and have threatened me with notices to vacated several times. Very unprofessional staff. Maintenance man kody had relations with my daughter and continued to harass her. I have an autistic son that elopes and have rescue squads here often due to his low functioning. They will not compromise modifications for children with disabilities. They have no empathy for this. This is definitely not a place to live with children. Especially special needs. They will kick you out with no reason for they can’t give me one. I’m contacting legal aid and housing for disabilities to file a complaint. I Do NOT recommend this place to call your future home. They only have 2 stars for a reason.

By far one of the worst places to rent from. They did put in new floors, carpet and cabinets but didn’t do anything else. My husband and I moved in here March ‘23 because it was much bigger than our old place and we needed bigger at that time. The trimming around the floor boards weren’t done and the slats for them are still in my dinning room, there are rats and mice around the back patio, along with these little red and black bugs that don’t go away no matter what you do to get rid of them. The city sent a pamphlet in the mail about the rats. Not the management company. The grout around the bathtub needed to be done before we should have moved in but wasn’t. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling before we moved in and now it looks like it was painted over. When they had the cleaning ladies come in, they told us to take pictures of everything that wasn’t done so we wouldn’t be charged for it upon move out. The microwave doesn’t work and when it does, it blows a fuse every time. They just told us to turn it back on. Maintenance takes days to show up to fix things. They towed my husband’s truck because it “didn’t” have a parking pass on it when it did and we explained our situation to them. Also no one notified us that it was towed. I had to call the police department to see if it was stolen or towed. I called and told them to get it out because we weren’t paying for it when there was a parking tag on it and showed proof. They don’t go a great job of plowing during the winter either. When we had those 2 snow storms back to back in Jan, they showed up 3-4 days later wanting to plow and couldn’t get the snow up. Then they “salted” and that made it worse and never came back to finish it. The only thing we liked about this place is that they left you alone. Never showed up unless something needed to be done. Please don’t rent from them. It might be cheap, but it’s not worth it.

Would not recommend moving here! They are low in price for a reason. Many problems with different things (Entry locks broken; washers/dryers breaking; dirty/smelly hallways) that arose during my time renting. Faithfully paid rent on time every month and when you decide to move out, they will find even the slightest issue to charge and keep your security deposit. Horrible place to stay.

Go up
