I would like to take a moment to thank Patricia (cpa) and other staff, Sage and Alicia, for their amazing work, friendliness and willingness to help. They were fantastic to work with and they get 10/5 stars.
However, I will not be using H&R Block again because their online DIY system does not communicate well with their advisors. I’m here in person, spending 3 hours amending a return in store although I already spent hours at home entering my information and spending lots of money because their system crashed on the filing deadline day (look it up).

So this will be my last time using H&R block because of the huge headaches their systems cause.

The Advisors at this location are dishonest, my advisor Bhavna ignored My request and filed anyway!!! Bita Hamidi tried to cover the lie and then had to admit weeks later what I had been claiming all along. No one knew the process for getting the refund advance and kept telling me she applied, when I specifically asked several time prior to signing and she said yes! And when I asked because you need a emerald card for the loan she said yes, well did you apply for the emerald card she said no you wanted direct deposit. As a advisor your supposed to know this unless you didnt care whether I got the service I was asking for or not. She didn't care her reply was "Sorry!!" With exclamation mark. You better go in Person because doing your taxes online using a pro you are just a number$$$!

I mean if I could give 0 stars I would! I scheduled to have my taxes done with EVANNA LEE. She damn sure took her time to see me. I came and checked in early, waited, and waited. I had to ask one of the front how much longer and she went to get her. Once evanna came there was ZERO acknowledgement of my wait.
I sat in her office and seemed like she was fishing for reasons to not do my taxes. I thought it was odd her questioning PRIOR to asking for my W-2
I was a travel nurse, but worked in California all of 2023. Well she found an excuse. According to Ms. LEE she does not have license to file taxes in NY.
So I filed for an extension. I went to the front desk I asked is there anyone that has a multi state license and they said oh Evanna does.
Very unprofessional. Just a down right liar, poor customer service and avoidant.
10/10 would not recommend that woman.

This was my first time getting my taxes prepared at H&R Block so I was very nervous about my appointment plus I was having a bad day. When I sat down I realized I forgot an important document and after 10 minutes I was able to email them to Bhavna and she still managed to finish preparing my taxes in under 45 minutes, I was blown away on top of that she maximized my refund was professional and knowledgable and they have a screen sitting next to you so you can see what they are doing and that's transparency at its best! I came in having a bad day and left with my day ending well! I would recommend anyone!

Because we have an extraordinary agent who does a fabulously accurate and careful job in preparing our taxes each year. She is also open to questions and listens carefully and well. Her patience and diligence is to be admired. We are very appreciative of her expertise in the Tax Field.

I think they are out of business.

I have been a client for years. And no one at this office will return *any* of my calls and emails. This has been going on for 18 months.

Warning to others... I cannot even get copies of my past personal and corporate returns from them. Mine were damaged in a cross country move.

I tried a different office, but they did not respond either. And then a third office - who eventually told me to contact an office of theirs that was even further away.

It would seem that someone should alert the IRS and FTB that these guys will not provide copies of past returns that they prepared.

I went back to block advisory to my accountant from previous years. Somehow this time, she was extremely rude and agitated unlike previously. I was the last client of the day and she got me in 15 minutes after my appointment time which I understood how busy she must have been all day. I showed up with all prepared documents along with total calculation of numbers, so it would be simple and easy. After she plugged all numbers in and she informed me the cost of service. I was rather taken by unexpected high cost. So I asked her to lower the expense for me since it is not much different from previous years and also my income went down considerably. The second I asked for discount, she immediately became extremely rude and saying how she spent 2 hrs with me which it only has been 70 minutes. I knew she was very tired and she was ready to go home which it understandable. Instead of informing me that she could either talk to her boss, the way she treated me was so very unprofessional.

Isabelita at the San Carlos location was super helpful! She got me much more of a refund for both my personal and business taxes than I expected and got it all done in an hour! I used to spend days doing this myself! I will definitely return next year.
