Terrible experiences while applying for vehicle loans over the years. I’d always get declined even with good credit. This last one was just over the top. After being a member for 17 years, they went down my credit report line by line asking what my other loans were, why I needed to use a credit card for this or that, what I bought with that credit card. Then after all that they declined my application! Mid 700s credit score. GTFOH. What a joke. I was quickly and easily approved by another CU who I have been using and they’re great. Don’t waste your time. They'll talk a sweet game in your training day, but when it comes time to get your loan, they won’t be there for you. I’ve already closed all my accounts with them. Sayonara.

Polite employees, however, don't deal with their loan officers over the phone. Customer service and compassion is not their strong suit. I've had an account for over 40 years, after my experience with them in attempt to get a small loan, I will be closing my accounts and looking elsewhere for my banking needs.

My husband and I have had the best experiences with this bank! They are compassionate & understanding. They answer all concerns and handle any Issues. They make doing business with them SIMPLE especially when life gets hard! Margie is Amazing! She's helped us with bringing up our credit with debit consolidations. She helped with making the purchase of our home possible because of her fast & effective work ethic. There's no words to describe our gratitude towards her! Patrick is quick to handle everything that comes his way when we call over the phone, another awesome person who works for CAHP. Doing business with this bank has allowed for our family to raise our credit to good standings, take a deserved family vacation, purchase cars, and recently becoming owners of a brand new home! Thank you CAHP! We can't imagine going through life & banking with anyone other than YOU!

They have always been helpful, polite, and professional. I have used CAHP Credit Union three times for vehicle loans. They make it easy, and I got a superb interest rate versus the competition.

Don't bank with them! after decades of banking with them, they took my credit limit down to zero for taking their offer of the COVID relief and furthermore, a few months ago, i slashed by balance by at least half and i making more money than ever before and they declined any credit limit. wow!! it definitely feels that its a way to punish us that took on their offer for the covid relief! they never lost a penny! the interest kept stacking up but yet they treated me like a thug! I'm taking this to the FTC now,,, ugh,, a credit union that supposed to be good to Police Officers,,, wow what a disappointment!!!

I became a member of the CAHP Credit Union while in CHP Academy Class CTC-II 1969! During my tenure with the CHP and beyond, it has always responded positively to my financial and credit needs. On any visits or calls made by me, employees have always responded in a courteous and professional manner! Permit me to state that for just under 50 years, I have always received excellent service from the CAHP Credit Union!

My auto rates were great, not so much right now. A while back I was offered a credit card from CAHP which I rarely use. I dont usually bank with this credit union, primarily with BofA, I only have an account for my auto loan. Well used my credit card recently and tried making a payment, but apparently you cannot pay online unless you transfer from your bank account. There is no external pay option from another banking establishment. They're willing to take a payment over the phone for a $10 charge, non negotiable. My payment isnt due until August 7th, but the point of paying it early is to alleviate the interest charges. Dont get their credit card if you're in the same boat as I am. I now have to jump through hoops just to make my payment. The option is to send them a check to deposit into my antiquated banking account then transfer the money to pay my credit card again. The system is broken here... I'm over it.
