I need to be very clear about my intent here with my review of the San Fernando location on Glenoaks Blvd. This office staff up front consisting of ANA Miranda and Marcos are the best most proficient knowledgeable and approachable I’ve ever encountered in my 56 years alive. Ownership comprised of an on site dentist makes for a up to the minute perspective as far as providing the most exceptional care anyone can receive. Having a most severe anxiety about needles and undergoing a process to removal my teeth in favor of dentures the level of anxiety towards what would be a lot of needles and the pain of removal of ma natural teeth i needed to choose an office encompassing the most up to date procedure methods and a front office staff that could sympathize with my internal fears about needed and pain. IF you truly are undecided about who to see code teeth issues if would be CRIMINAL to go to any other office than this office. I’m not speaking about California dental as an overall choice. It’s the best choice for u to go specifically to the particular location and give urself to Ana Miranda and Marcos. This review comes from someone having dealt with dental issues most of his life. I am now with dentures and on the other side of the anxiety and pain and this staff of doctors and front office staff never once dropped the ball on my care once and if ownership of this location reads this review is like to be personally contacted so we can talk about the importance of the staff being kept till their retirement. I am not personally affiliated to anyone at this place and doing this review because of the magnitude of care provided. I realize that many have yet to choose who to send their child or loved ones to and I hope this review really sends a message. California Dental Glenoaks location must be your future choice to go to. I cannot begin to convey my truest devotion and love to Ana Miranda and Marcos. It’s odd but now I find myself ending a very term of heavy appointments becoming not needing to go back to the office to see the girls and Marcos. And it’s saddening. Jaime Ponce van nuys California

Dr Petrosyan is honestly the best dentist I’ve had. He's a very nice person. Took time to answer all my questions before my procedure, and was keeping me updated as he was working on me. I truly recommend him.

I've been Dr. Petrosyan's patient for almost 20 years now. He is very patient with all of his patients no matter what their age. He explains to my kids using language that they will understand and is always honest with them. He does an amazing job explaining everything that he will be doing and makes sure you're comfortable and not in pain. His staff are very courteous and professional.

If you're looking for a reliable, clean and reputable dentist, look no further. Dr. P is #1!!!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. P!!!! I've been a patient of his for 5 years and I am so glad I found him! I have severe dental anxiety but I no longer have to mentally prepare to go into the office! I feel calm when I'm there. Dr P. Is a very accredited dentist and I love that he explains everything, he is very gentle and patient and kind. His office is so clean and organized. His staff and assistants have a great attitude and they always make me feel so welcome! The other dentist, Dr.A, has worked on me and I love her as well! Highly highly recommend!!!! So thankful I'm in good hands!

Beware of an office who claims you'll be entered into a contest for a good review! He claims he gives tickets to amusement parks for 5 star reviews. Now I know why.
Marcos doesn't perform his job well or this is a big scam!
If they tell you medi-cal wont cover your emergency service and try to get $600 dollars cash from you while you're in severe pain please call member services! If they tell you medi-Cal state coverage wont cover your crown and they need will also need additional money from you for that its not true!!!
They dont do their paperwork properly or this is how their scam works. Any procedure I had to have done I had to call and spend hours on the phone and doing their job for them. I had to fix all the errors. If I would have believed what they were telling me then my only option would have been to pull the tooth because I couldn't afford the procedure which I was was eligible for coverage for. Everytime I had something done they told me medi-cal took 4-6 weeks to respond to any requested procedure. They lied! Once I spoke to member services they informed me they had always responded within 5-7 days. They wait and make you vulnerable trying to request more money from you. They are prolonging treatment so they can get cash as well as what medi-cal pays.
I feel bad for people who believe them and dont get the services that they need. I was also reminded a bunch of times that I recieve free dental treatment. I qualify for this and this isnt free. I have paid taxes my whole life for 27 of my 44 years of life and voted for medi-cal services for single moms who are in my position. I qualify because I have had cancer and had organs removed! My ability to work and make what I used to has been effected by my need for cancer treatment and my lack of resources for my children. Dont treat me like Im a charity case! Dont tell me this is free like Im supposed to be ok with your inability to do your job correctly or your scam to get more money from people!!
I was also not given pain medication for my severe infection that they finally opened in an emergency! After telling me I couldn't come in for weeks they prescribed antibiotics when I threatened to report them. They did a partial treatment and opened it up but when they couldn't get money from me this is when they told me again medi-cal took 4-6 weeks (WHICH AGAIN THEY RESPOND IN 5-7 DAYS) The infection then came back again because they left the tooth open and they again requested 600$ The whole reason my tooth got so infected is because they refused the services I was covered for. I sat for another month and got a more severe infection that I was covered for treatment for!WITH NO PAIN MEDICATION! I had to deal with their end of the paperwork myself with medi-cal! It wouldn't have been an emergency if they didnt send me away telling me I wasn't covered for my needed procedure. During this entire time they refused to give me pain medication; even after medi- cal tolld me they responded to them weeks before! I had to take tylenol and motrin at the same time 6 times a day (which is toxic for your liver) for months and still was in agony! They made me suffer for 2 months! But I had no choice! Most dentists wont touch a tooth that has been partially worked on. Then when I finally beg to come in they fit me in and demand 600$ when my insurance Did cover the treatment!!! They get you vulnerable and try and demand cash for further treatment.
It was torture!
They are not honest!
Their 5 star reviews are because they give Disneyland tickets supposedly! Any really good dentist wouldn't need to hold a contest for 5 start reviews!
There is a sign in their office claiming they give tickets away for 5 star reviews with a picture of a "winner" from who lnows how many years ago. Im sure their will be another "winner" soon after my HONEST review!

My elderly mother was taken advantage of at this office. She was scheduled for a deep cleaning, and was told it had to be done in two appointments because she has Medi-Cal. The doctor worked on her for 10 minutes at each appointment, 20 minutes total and no local anesthesia was used. When doing research online, a thorough deep cleaning should have taken 1.5-2 hours. Shame on you Dr. Petrosyan for misleading an elderly woman, you did a basic cleaning at best.

My own experience has also led me to leave this practice. One of my fillings done here was done poorly and I had to deal with months of sensitivity and eventual pain. I just had a root canal. Initially when I came to Dr. Petrosyan with pain, he said I had to remove my wisdom tooth. That was not the case and I had to go to two different specialists to get the problem sorted out.

I had such high hopes for this dentist based on some good reviews, but unfortunately they were quickly dashed when I called to make an appt. I spoke to Marcos and was immediately met with extreme rudeness. Now that I have looked more carefully at the reviews though, I can see that he treats many patients terribly. I explained to him that I am in extreme pain and asked if I could make an appt, but he told me I’d need to wait almost a month to be seen. If you’ve ever had a tooth in need of a root canal, you know how severe the pain is. I’ve never in my life heard of a dentist making a pt suffer for a month with this kind of pain. I can understand if it was a routine exam or a cleaning, but I have an infected tooth that has reached the nerve. He then sarcastically told me I wasn’t the only pt they had. Shucks Marcos, I really thought I was. Why are you listed in the Delta provider network as accepting new pts if your caseload is so high that you cannot offer an appt to a pt with an urgent issue for an entire month? I will be contacting Delta so they are aware and hopefully save others from the same hassle.

Then Marcos had a problem verifying insurance eligibility which I know for a fact is an error or a glitch and I told him I would have it fixed asap and fax over proof. My husband has been employed full time at the same large corporation for 30 yrs and there’s never been a break or issue with dental coverage. I told Marcos I was confident that it was just an error and if for some reason it wasn’t, I would pay 100% of the cash price, but he didn’t believe me and continued with his condescending attitude. At this point he refused to even make the appt that was a month away until he received the insurance fax. It’s Saturday today, and I told him I would get the fax to him first thing Monday, but Marcos just wanted to be rude, disrespectful and insert his “assumed” power over the situation.

I’m glad I didn’t waste my time here. I found a different dentist who was kind and actually cared that I am in pain…with an appt next week. Do not come here if you want to be treated like a human being..you are just a number and a dollar sign to them.
