Let me start by expressing my strong disappointment with C&H management company. I am an owner of one of the properties that our board members elected to hire this management company to manage and serve our community. In my opinion the choice is far from sound as this company seems to ignore vital repeated requests for issues that could potentially become a significant safety concern to us. Our Bollard lights that are used to provide lighting around the meadow area passages were out of commission. These lights are very important as they insure our safety during the night time and while we're using the passages to walk to our spa or during exercise. Without these essential lights one can easily slip and fall when humidity is present or by stepping on falling wet leaves.
I brought this issue of the non-working lights to the management company in two separate occasions, but they did not take any action to address the concerns. I then decided to communicate and share my concerns with our board and to advise them of the problem so they can look into it and take the necessary measures to repair these non-working lights to prevent any hazardous situations from happening.
The very next day I received a call in the early morning hours from an angry company representative by the name of Jacob. Rather than discussing the issue and provide assistance, he discharged his anger and reprimanded me for the email I sent to the Board informing them about the issue.
During the one-sided phone call, he continued with his rude, aggressive, and unprofessional behavior to attack me and assert his position of how the management company works without allowing me the opportunity to express my concerns. He stated that once the request for repair is received, they get a bid and present it to the board for approval and it is up to the board to decide, then he hangs up the phone.
My question is why didnāt they do that? Why didnāt they follow the procedures and the guidelines that he made sure to lecture me about specially after I made two prior requests to the company to assess the issue and fix the problem. Regrettably, they ignored my repeated requests and did nothing at all.
As an owner, I have every right to communicate with my elected board members without being subjective to harassment or retribution from individuals representing the management company.
Our HOA dues have increased substantially to $475.00/month, more than any other parallel properties within our community just to hire this company that seem to do nothing but collecting the monthly dues.
