Financial Transparency: I’m impressed with how transparent Sergey is with financial questions and the HOA’s budget. The budget reports are thorough but not always easy to understand. Sergey has been great as explaining how funds are being spent by the board.

I am president of the Home Owners Association of a 42 unit condo complex on Nob Hill in San Francisco. I lost my keys and had no idea how I was going to get into the building, we are in a highrise. I called the management company and they got in touch with our property manager. I could not make it to their office until after closing. The manager arranged for someone to meet me after hours and got me a new key. Didn’t even charge for anything but the key, $25. Made a stressful situation fairly easy to navigate.

Horrible management company has left our only elevator to the parking garage broken for nearly two months now and refuses to return multiple phone calls and emails. Wheelchairs and strollers have no way of getting to their cars while this management company continues to collect monthly dues from residents. Mark Moreno has never once responded to me or anyone on my HOA. Avoid at all costs!

Having rented in the Bay Area for over a decade I’ve dealt with a lot of property managers. I can say with absolute confidence that CitiScape Property Management Group is by far the best management company I have dealt with. When renting from a private person in a HOA I am normally treated like a second class citizen where the management company will not even speak with me. Not with CitiScape who were willing to handle any concerns I had directly with me. They are extremely responsive and respectful, which is sadly hard to come by. My few maintenance requests were always handled immediately, and were clearly explained if the request should have been handled by my landlord rather than the building.
