tl;dr - if you're looking for a realtor in VA, WV, or MD, you are doing yourself a huge disservice if you DON'T use Mike Cooper! He is an amazing realtor and an even amazing person!!

This was the first time in many, many years I found myself looking at purchasing a house. I had no idea where to start or what to do - it was a very scary process to get started with on my own. I did reach out to a couple of other agents and neither seemed inclined to help out. It took one agent more than a month to simply tell me if she was licensed in VA! At any rate, I reached out and found Mike.

Mike proverbially took my hand and did not let go until I moved in - honestly...I'm not sure he's completely let go - he's still always right there when I still have questions! He made the whole process the least stressful thing I think I've done in a long time!! He told me what to expect, not just from his side of things but also what to expect from my lender, the inspectors, the closers, etc. He explained timelines and processes and was always a text or email away! I didn't feel stupid asking questions and he was great at calming me when I was suddenly panicked that something was going wrong.

And even now, when I want to make sure I'm not being cold-called by solicitors that have found I out own a house, he's more than happy to answer my texts and verify I'm not being taken advantage of! He also has provided outstanding recommendations for things like HVAC service. Additionally, he went above and beyond with some things around the house that needed to be taken care of prior to moving in, keeping me safe as I was moving into my new dream home!

Mike takes the time to understand what you're looking for and works with you to get just that! I joke with friends that I have memos at work that have been more difficult to get through a process than buying this house was. And I attribute most of that to Mike and his willingness to stand beside me the whole way through!

I whole-heartedly recommend Mike!! And if/when the time comes, I'll use him again!
