This shelter calls a Rottweiler/pitbull puppy a German Shepherd ...
Plus without telling the puppy's aggressive biteing + not want to walking on leash behave...this puppy surely need dog trainer's work ...
We are not the first one to return her....

We just returned the puppy "Kimberly". she is Rottweiler/pitbull ,the combination , she is not the German Shepherd.
The animal shelter should tell the truth of her breed, plus the note that her personality problems . Instead of misleading people to repeatly adopt and return for each time return will cost the abandonment hurt to the puppy, plus the people's lost $$ of returning the dog....it is double loss and hurt, that the animal shelter should avoid it. Not to alow it be happened again and again .

The photos also shows when mona was still chaseing and trying to bite the "bear" dog even after I put her on leash. She was chaseing and connering ,bitting the bear dog when she was not on leash running on the beach. The bear dog's owner and another small dog's owner all told me that she needs dog trainer to train her persist biteing habit.

1, she is not German Shepherd that we want ,they mis-marking her breed. Mona is Rottweiler/pitbul.

2, she has strong bad dog's habits: apressive biteing issue...consistly chasing and wanting to attack bite dogs and people.....

3, she refuses to walk ,but instead of obeying and walking on leash, she will sit /lay on the ground each time when I walk her with me. Step by step frequently disobey refuse to walk with me.....

4, she consistenly chase and bite lighting cat at home, lighting has to escap outdoor dear not to come home for long time even in cold day and night ...

5, My husband Greg said he is not wanting to spend money to take her to the dog training place...I respect his decision.....

For the at least above 5 big serious bad reasons, we dicide to return her to the not telling truth county of santa clara (california USA) animal shelter place... they should also note/info people that this dog has problems and need dog trainer.

Also we can only have one dog at this point, we want to have the one we want and love to have, to enjoy every year, every day, every moment we see and spend time with the dog, instead to have an unwanted one to occupy the only one spot, to make us suffer the nightmare to have it for the future 12-15 years ...we cannot must keep/have her in our life , just because dogs do get put down in the animal shelter..... that's not our duty/responsibility to just adopt a dog only beacise to save their life, we have our life too, our life matters too.....but I am willing to donate to the animal shelter anything to help them out. But it does not mean we have to bring them in and live with them in our life.

Again, the animal shelter used No.A dog's photo calling the similar dog No. B breed. The animal shelter really should not call a rottweiler/pitbull a German Shepherd dog. They are actually 2 different dogs at all.
the difference of the 2 kinds of dogs are very obvious....

This is the game that these animal shelters playing :" Call a deer a horse"

Girlfriend /wife is the same thing.
Be super careful not to take the so so one ,but miss the great right blessing one.

Was recommended by the VCA to take an emaciated lost dog that I found outside my house in the forest. It was skin and bones starving, dehydrated, and covered in 30+ ticks. I removed the ticks myself and spent $200 buying the dog equipment to foster it back to health.

The front desk lady was rude af about the whole situation. She said the dog had to be withheld for 5 days and wouldn’t be possible to foster because it was only 4 months old. Now I would have to pay to adopt a dog that clearly needs help and did not want to be in their custody. They clearly could not find a responsible owner the first time around and could not get a hold of the owner. The chip was still registered in the shelters name and not an owner, which sounds like they are not registering the owner to the chip as they should be.

I was told the cops would investigate the neglected dog, but I already know the authorities are not going to waste their time on a damn dog. The lady also didn’t take the photos I had for their supposed “investigation” either. So pissed im buying a chip reader online to handle the situation myself next time.

No matter the measurements they are beyond amazing, I'm revieing them now but I got my precious dog in 2019 and they seem to have improve even more than how already great were back then.

you can tell they really care about the animals they have in the shelters and the process of adopting is so easy and smooth.

the prices are great and really affordable and I just love how they not only allow but encourage you to pet as much animals in the shelter.

for 2 weeks I used to visit the place just to pet the adorable kittens

Very nice facility. Well designed, clean, and well maintained. Multiple dorms for dogs and cats. Some dog kennels have partial outdoor space, which I thought was very good for the dogs. The facility also has a good indoor space to play with dogs. Lots of kittens/cats, even rabbits. The facility also has a room where they treat and perform surgery if needed. Outside is a barn with goats, horses, and chickens. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The facility offers fostering of pets too.

There is a young girl working the front desk there named Maria who was so absolutely rude it was blatantly hateful. I was so taken aback by the way she treated me, I couldn’t process it in the moment. She should not be employed in any customer service or front of house role until she’s had proper training or learns how to interact if not kindly, at the very least decently with the general public. The rest of the staff were informative and very kind and completely changed my experience- and for that I am appreciative. This shelter is very clean and seems to really care about the dogs, it was good to see and feel that about this place. I will be signing up to be a foster to take dogs on day trips, and I hope my next interaction with Maria isn’t so unpleasant and that she’s had adequate training by then.

My wife and I have been looking for a small puppy or young dog. We looked at a few different kennels on the internet, hoping to see a dog that we'd like to meet in person. We saw 3 possibilities at the County of Santa Clara Animal Shelter. We went to the shelter with the information from their website. 2 of the 3 dogs were taken. The one left was a 12 week old puppy. This puppy is a Terrier mix, but looks like a purebred Terrier. He's black with a few little dashes of white in just the right places. He looked great! We adopted him in about an hour. He has all the shots required at 12 weeks. He'll require a couple of other shots at appropriate times. The woman who helped us was very nice and professional. We had a great experience there. I recommend going with information regarding your pet choices from their website. It made everything go very smoothly. They also had cats there too. The facility was very nice and clean. I highly recommend this location. If I'm ever looking for another dog or cat, I will definitely try here first!
