This management group just keeps increasing the rent and does no upgrades to the property. our rent was 975 and in 2017 and now for our same unit they are charging $1600. not even worth it. we lived there for 5 years. it was so much better under the private owner. even though we signed a lease they increase our "utilities". they are actually just increasing our rent. i just moved out after 5 years and we left the unit in great condition and they are charging us a cleaning fee. after 5 years they are not allowed to charge for regular wear and tear. im trying to reach someone in there corporate office but no answer. the phone number on the bill was for a different property manager. I called my apartment manager and she just referred me to them. i can already tell i will be getting the run around.

Since this company has taken over, it's impossible to get in touch with a property manager.
It's feeling more like an absentee management situation. Right now, they are fixing the skylight in the basement, so that's more important than fixing my apartment, apparently. Susan, the last property manager, had finally come to my apartment to record what needed to be done. The next week she was fired. Now, I'm lost in the shuffle again. I've been here since 1991, and have seen improvements in the since then, but now it feels regressive.
I just got a notification about an addendum to my rental agreement, but I never got that addendum. We are now going to be charged fees at the beginning of the new year. I've had to call the home office to get this information. This is very bad for CTM.

This company is by far the worst company I have worked with. I recently realized I issued a rent check to the incorrect name and spoke with the property manager Barbara Fischer in person at her office. I informed her of the issue and volunteered to reissue the check to her with the understanding she would void the previously written check. I checked my account Monday morning and both checks were cashed. This is a small office, not some giant firm with tons of employees. She should have walked down the hall to her assistant and told her to void the other check. When I addressed this issue and asked for a refund her response was " that's not going to happen". She knew she made a major mistake and took zero initiative to correct the issue. She admitted the error and chose not to fix it. I am now having to ask my bank to retrieve my duplicate payment an address numerous issues this company has caused in just a few short weeks of managing the property. Their response was it was an honest mistake, if so it should have been fixed immediately, instead threats of late payment fees were made. Zero attempts to resolve this issue have been made. Just excuses to save face on review platforms. I'll also be making complaints against Barber Fischer to the BBB and Real estate board.

Absolute god awful company. Mean people, and unresponsive. If I have to fix everything by myself please just tell me and I will do it. If I didn’t give them all of my money just to live, I would pay for a lawyer to sue them into oblivion.

Lived in the teton pines apartments (Escondido) for two years and had nothing but issues when it came to communicating with the property manager. She was either unresponsive to emails or never in the office. We are now looking for a new home and she refuses to send over rental verification. I tried calling the corporate number and no one is picking up their phone there either. Does any one actually work for this company?

Apartment building was previously managed by the award winning Aeris property mgmt company and had zero complaints. When they were replaced by CTM the building immediately became slum-level. No cleaning, nothing works, no lights, no security, constant intrusion by the homeless, and roaches in every unit. Worse? If you report any problems with the building and ask for maintenance you are immediately met with emails threatening to evict you. STAY AWAY from the Carlton in Los Angeles.
