I can’t say enough about how happy my husband and I were to have both our fathers cared for and content while they lived in this facility. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our dads were heard and valued. Dogwood offered them not only great care but recreational options beyond just the usual bingo. They brought in entertainment, musical, a magician, even animal shows. They not only took our dads on bus rides to get them to appointments or on scenic rides to see country or Christmas lights but when my father in law passed, they sent his good friend that he made to the family night in Warrenton. That was above and beyond!

We cannot recommend Dogwood Village too highly. The care our mother received over the last six years was wonderful. The nurses and other members of the staff became members of her extended family. They cared for her the way they would have one of their own family members. We are so grateful that she spent her last years here.

Our mom is at Dogwood. She has Alzheimer’s. The staff all treat her with such care and dignity. We are very pleased with the facility. They are responsive to our concerns and quick to make changes that will enhance her stay and care. Mom is contented and lives the staff. It’s a very nice place with lots of activities for residents to participate in.

My family is fortunate to have Dogwood Village so close at hand. Over the last few years we have had the occasion to take advantage of the excellent professional care of the nurses, therapists and staff in both facilities. My father was in Health & Rehab after open heart surgery and loved the care and therapy he received helping him recover and return to normal life. My aunt also spent time in Health & Rehab when she slipped on ice and broke both her arms. She received excellent care. My uncle spent his last few weeks at Dogwood Village and received the most compassionate care. The Assistant Director of Nursing once spent over an hour with him talking about his concerns. She even sang hymns with him to help him. After her visit, Uncle Bill was so calm and accepting and had a peaceful transition. And finally, my mother moved into the Assisted Living facility and was there for nearly 5 years. The nursing staff, dining staff and housekeeping staff were so attentive to her daily situation and were quick to make changes to her care as her condition changed. She loved the staff and felt quite at home. We were always kept well informed by her caretakers.
Dogwood works with people during some of the most painful times of their life, yet the place is happy, friendly and welcoming. Who wouldn’t want to spend time healing there?

We, as a family of a resident, can not say enough about Dogwood Village Retirement and Assistant Living facility. It's location offers the residents a tranquil and scenic countryside while still being close to the small town of Orange, Virginia. We could not ask for better staff who are genuine and caring to be looking after our 102 year old Aunt. It is hard for anyone to transition from an independent life to an assisted living facility but the staff was able to help with that move in a very kind and loving way. With all the activities, the residents can do as much or as little as they want at any given time, helps with the transition. The residents are made to feel as part of a community. We are looking forward to our Aunts continued good health and stay at Dogwood Village as we have no doubts in the care she is receiving there.

Our family was fortunate enough to have my mother spent her last senior years with the exceptional employees and staff of Dogwood who showed love and compassion to her.
Her medical, physical, and mental needs were administered with high quality standards. Covid and declining health were a challenge but Dogwood worked with our family to enable us to spend time with my mother.
Their staff is above exceptional with care, attentiveness, and concern.
Dogwood is a very loving and caring facility and a definite asset to the community the surrounding areas.

My father has lived at Dogwood Senior Living for the past 4+ years. While it was a huge adjustment for him, the staff was patient and helped him through that time. Since then the staff continues to amaze me with their patience, kindness, and care. Daddy has long been at “home” at Dogwood, made some friends, enjoyed some games, and even won a few times at bingo. Recently his health has declined and again, the care and kindness of the staff couldn’t be better. They are all now a beloved part of our family!

The facility is just as lovely as the staff and our family wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dogwood Village! One more thing to note, the staff turnover has been almost non-existent which, to me, proves that these are folks who love their job and the residents they care for.
