I used D Ream Properties for over 25 years as my property manager.
I found them to be honest, caring and concerned about my renters. If I had any questions, I could rely on D Ream to provide quick and accurate answers. When we decided to sell the property, D Ream stepped up to the plate, providing professional and legal assistance. All my dealings with D Ream Properties have been outstanding. I would not hesitate to use them in the future. D Ream Properties is not only a credit to their company, but also a credit to the Realtor Association. Great job and well done!

Don't even bother applying if your credit score is bad. They told me they don't look at medical bills then denied me after confirming all other requirements were solid. I believe they just want as many applications fees as they can get a hold of.

Customer service was awful. I moved with the understanding that the house was rushed but once my lease was up I left the home in better standing yet they took from my deposit everything they knew wasn’t fixed when I moved in. The house wasn’t cleaned, they charged a cleaning fee, carpet was never cleaned and I was charged a carpet cleaning fee, the paint was spot painted and I was charged a painting fee. The communication I had moving in was not the same moving out. It was extremely disappointing.

I am an owner with 4 properties managed by D.Ream. They are courteous, efficient, and stay on top of the properties they manage for me. I get a good tenant because of the thorough background check and I get my rent checks in a timely manner. They had to process only one eviction in over 10 years and stayed the course through the whole process. It took nearly two years but I was finally able to receive the back rent that was due.

Applied and was approved for a property. Put down a deposit. At no point was I made aware this property did not allow pets. I noted in my app that I have a small dog. Though properties on their site note if no pets are allowed, this one did not. Then when I go to sign the lease, I’m made aware that pets are not allowed. I turned down another property that same day with another rental company because I wanted this particular house. I basically got “oops our bad”. Extremely dissatisfied

We have been with these people for maybe 8 years! We have never been late on our rent nor given them any problems. Well the second property we stayed in through them was more in rent and more problems!!! We noticed a few months after being in the house that it had rats, my husband told them and all they said was go to Lowe's that they had something for them. Well, a couple of years went bye and after we hadn't seen anymore rats we thought they was gone, and all of a sudden we started hearing them in the walls and they started coming in the house through holed that they chewed through. I had a sick baby and we was in Birmingham, Al for the first two months of his life, and my husband went to pay the rent and he told them the problem with rats was getting bad. He said the people in the office looked at him stupid. The house is bad off with rats so much that they chewed through the wires for the ac unit. One night we came home to no heat and had to get a hotel because my baby is a heart baby and he can't get cold. Well the time to renew our lease came around and they sent us the usual letter in the mail telling us that they have enjoyed us as tenants and gave us the option to renew or pay month to month. We decided to move so we applied for one of their other rental properties and on the application it asks why are we wanting to leave. Our response was rat infested and the house has electrical problems as well! We'll they called my husband about the decision on the application and asked him what was wrong with the house and if they fix it would we stay in there. My husband told them no and they proceeded to tell him it's the tenant obligation to pay to get the rats gone, mind you we have been with a company called Knox as long as we been with them and they put out glue traps twice and couldn't catch the rats. Well the great ending to this story is that a week or two after that phone conversation we was sent a 30 day letter to vacate the premises! This is how you do tenants that pay on time and never gave you problems. Oh, but they did close up the holes in the bricks outside hence is where the rats was getting in at! Sad part is they stuck a for rent sign out and the next people will be stuck in a 12 month lease sharing a house with rats! My advice is to bypass this place unless you so desperately need a place to live!
