I scheduled my install in September of 2024, signed all the required forms and waited patiently as they would have to run a line from the vault to my property. After weeks with no update for the I raised some concerns with customer service. After another few weeks and no callbacks like they promised I eventually found out that the communication between Empower and their contractors did not go as planned and someone kept cancelling my install. I eventually got the line put in the ground and the NID installed on my house just after Christmas. I have called and called and called. but no one has contacted my like I've been reassured they would to fully complete the "inside the home" installation. I am told over and over that there is a problem on the fiber line they put in the ground but no one ever comes to fix it. I keep get assured someone will call me back and set this appointment up but as of this review no one has contacted me. My neighbors all have empower and never seemed to have these issues. I have used their internet at friends homes and they are all very pleased with it, and so am I. But actually getting the service after the initial round of neighborhood installs seems impossible.

I would like to say that after you get them to install it. The internet is very good especially for rural broadband and I'm pretty pleased with it. My statement still remains that at this time 3/25/25 I still have received no communication about finishing my install.

If this is the company that had a crew working for them on Bull Creek Road in Nathalie Va on February 17th (Empower was on the crews truck) well when they putting down lines in the ditch in front of my house they backed their tractor up into my driveway and then into my side yard and after they tore up the driveway and side yard with the tractor they some how managed to knock out my internet that I have at my house with BrightSpeed. There was also a guy in a car that had S&N Communications on it directing them what to do. BrightSpeed clearly marked where the lines were and they ran over and tore it up with a tractor and wouldn't fix my driveway or fix my internet. I will be lodging a complaint with the Better Business Borough in the morning and be putting a gate up at the end of my driveway so that they stay outve my driveway because it appears that they will be back as they left wires at the end of my driveway.

Update...had a Brightspeed technician come out on February 24th and confirm that Empower cut my line and has been doing it to other homes across the county. This is a really shady way to run a company.

Only been here for 2 weeks, me and my son both have Xbox’s that big one is running the other has a multiplayer issue. It’s been 3 days since I was able to play a full match with only one Xbox running and one Roku. This internet sucks

I've sent multiple emails without a response. Why is it we cannot get Fox? We are locked out of all the football games they broadcast and all the news they broadcast.

Highly recommend not going with Empower, getting internet with them is the absolute slowest process I have ever experienced. Someone needs to assist them with streamlining their process. It’s sad when you have the line put to your house in one day and 6 weeks later still have no internet. Do your homework before choosing them as your provider.

Good luck getting customer support outside of bankers hours. Woke up to our router not working at 7AM tried the usual unplug and plug it back in several times. Called the supposed 24 hour line a little after 7 left a message, my wife and I called more throughout the day leaving messages and still no call back. It's now after 8PM and still no call back.
