Not quite what I expected.

Cons:

No pool, not much of a work-out room, and no morning paper I could sit by a fireplace and read, lighting a little dim, a little noisy.

Pros:

Great Internet connectivity, Lightening fast log-in, Nice people (a little heavy on the geek-side), air-conditioning to die for, ample parking.

All in all nice place to stay, while off the beaten path, it seems you are connected to everywhere. I'll stay here again.

As a European I was a little bit surprised by some of the construction choices, there are no contained hot and cold aisles, merely downflow units that are cranked to 11 if the temperature is too high. Also the floor is solid concrete, which, I suppose, isn't a problem as the building was constructed specifically to be a datacenter, it did cause a slight inconvenience, though, as we normally structure our cages by means of the grid of floor tiles, so I had to mark up tile separations on the cage fence. Also their choice of power infrastructure redundancy seemed odd to me, as a European.
Having had 10 racks here for about 2 years now, none of this has posed any problems, the staff is a bit on the bureaucratic side, but the upside of this is that there is no room for interpretation, your orders are always completed to specs and on time.

All the Equinix IBX’s on this campus are great! The buildings are very clean and well managed.

The “Operations” department is fantastic to work with as well. The site technicians are very knowledgeable and they always do great work.

With Data Centers like these, it is no wonder why Equinix is one of the best in the industry!
