I’ve been visiting here for years even when I lived in Riverside. I love walking through, admiring all the original woodwork construction, imagining the possibilities, and fearing its demise. I now live nearby which gives me the opportunity to come weekly and happily see the possibilities come to fruition. Thank you to all the new merchants that call it home for their businesses. Thank you to the person/entity that saw its value to the community.

I'm not sure what the end goal is for this place, but it's been consistently failing since we moved here 3 years ago. It's not growing. And it feels deserted when you walk inside.

Most stores are closed when the market is open in the parking lot, which is basically their best free advertising medium. The stores better start marketing if they want to thrive before they have to shut down like everything else in HSJ.

No marketing. No advertising. No capitalizing on miscellaneous opps. They'll close without most locals even knowing they ever existed. 😔

The FORGOTTEN Corner! It’s so sad that the Farmer’s Corner barn is only open for looks. It’s basically a barn with shops around it. The barn itself which has room for shops, is empty, dark and totally neglected. The barn is supposed to have SHOPS! There’s no selection! What’s even weirder is that SJ’s Weekend Farmer’s Market is outside in the parking lot adjacent to the buffet in the surrounding area rather than IN the Farmer’s corner. I walked in today to see if anything has changed and it’s exactly the same as five years ago. There’s creepy western mannequins lurking in dark corners and the lights are off. One lonely soul was taking his break from his shift at the barber shop outside, it was so dark I almost ran into him! The Farmer’s Corner is a relic out of time, it’s a staple of SJ’s culture that needed an update 20 years ago. That being said, I do suggest visiting the businesses outside (the only businesses) like The Good Egg, Gentlemen’s Parlor, etc. and the Weekend Farmer’s Market. I hear people get good deals at these businesses and there’s plenty of food and services provided.

I absolutely loved this place. Not sure if they rent it out for events but it would be perfect for a wedding or quinciera.

I have to stop by this old rustic Landmark see what types of little businesses were there maybe I can do some shopping maybe some clothing or something of sort boutiques upon arrival I seen it was very desolate and empty the first story I went to was the beauty supply store that was advertised in the front which really only sold nail supplies the lady actually finally answered the door to me it was super rude acted as if she did not want any any business coming from me was quick to shut door in my face very unfriendly very unprofessional I don't know how this woman makes it by and keeps that establishment open with such rude customer service and such little services offered

This is such a underrated spot and I wish there were more retailers. The certified farmers market on Sundays and Thursdays is awesome! And the few stores they do have could definitely use more business. Personally I recently utilized the California party supply store and was very pleased the woman who assisted me (plz forgive me if I'm wrong I think she said her name was Nancy)

Interesting farmer's market.
Not a spectacular selection, but worth supporting their local produce.
