Terrible. Premiums skyrocket every January. I called January of 2024 to ask why my auto rates went up 25% with a perfect driving record, no accidents or violations, college grad, age 49. Married. Wife is college grad. Works healthcare. Basically every good factor for the lowest rates. Was told everybody’s premium went up. Okay, I get that, kind of. Lisa said she would do some investigating and see if she could find a way to maybe help lower it a little. Never heard back from her. Ok, whatever. Keep the policy because it’s a pain in the butt to deal

December 2024, looked at my policy and see that it will increase another 20% in January 2025. No accidents, violations, still a college grad, now I’m age 50 and still married to a college grad healthcare worker. Okay, fine. I’ll shop around. Found the exact same coverage (actually better in some coverages) for $90 less a month with a local agent in Little Rock in with a reputable insurance company. Made the switch.
Called Lisa when immediately after I left the new insurance companies office to cancel
My existing auto policy. Payment would auto draft the following day. She said that she would cancel the policy right then. I asked if my card would be charged the next day, she said no, that when she cancelled the policy, it was done.
What do you think happened? Of course my card got charged anyway. Since it’s Sunday, I called Farmers 1-800 number and spoke to someone in billing. She said my policy had not been cancelled and was still active and that they had collected the auto draft payment. Thankfully, she back dated it to the cancellation date I made with Lisa and I will received my money back in a week.
I guess Lisa didn’t like the fact that some customers aren’t thrilled with their rates skyrocketing for no reason and want to find a better alternative, so she straight up didn’t cancel my policy and allowed me to be charged anyway. I’m glad I never had to depend on her to have my back if I had a claim to deal with because I’m pretty sure I’d get screwed because she obviously doesn’t give a crap about her clients as long as they keep that overpriced auto draft pumping out my hard earned money each month.
I’m sure she’s gonna get on here and reply in defense, but I’ve got the receipts to prove she flat out neglected to cancel the policy. Avoid. There are plenty of good agents out there that are happy to help their clients but Lisa Baker isn’t one of them.the pic below is screenshot of my call to Lisa at 2:52pm Dec 11, 2024 to cancel my policy.
