They are a scam agency. I will be reporting them to a federal agency soon. They acquired my personal information and impersonated a state government agency to try and extract a fake debt from me. They called me several times and when that didn't work they sent a fake letter from my states courts to my home claiming I owed them money. The letter has a fake state seal on it and everything. The back of the letter gives their whole scam away. It states that I must send a payment of 1900 dollars to their address which isn't even in my state.

I'm reporting these morons to the police and Better Business Bureau.

BEWARE! This could be a company full of scam artist or just absolutely asinine workers. Absolutely no concept of professionalism nor any form of customer service. The person I spoke with is obviously a ruined and measurable individual. It was as if this person was upset with me that she is employed. I called the number because I've received a few calls, but no one leaves a message. Also when I pick up the phone no one answers. I was calling to get information on the company and I was told that a bill was in collections. Since I had never heard of this bill I asked for the information concerning it. The agent I spoke with was obviously irritated that I wanted information concerning a debt I'm supposed to pay. After I was finally able to pry the information from her I asked for information concerning this company. Remember, I have received no notice in the mail. She stated that she gave me the name of the company and that is all that I needed. As she began to over talk me I said "ma'am I need you to listen and listen clearly to what I'm asking you for". She asked "what you want." I told her that I need to be able to get in contact with this company and follow up on the bill. So I would like to know the account number that this "collection" is under. She refused to give me any of that information. She stated that she was going to end the call and proceeded to hang up the phone. Appears to be 100% of a scam! I was able to contact the company that she mentioned I owe this debt to. Come to find out, there is no outstanding debt nor has anything been sent to collections! Crazy right. So if you receive a phone call from this company... ignore their questions and go directly to the company they say they're working for. Do not give any of your personal information to them. Only give them information once they give you the information confirming who THEY are.

This is s scam, never pay attention to debt collectors. When you owe a debt, you owe it to the people you signed a contract with and can only be guaranteed that anything you pay will actually go towards the debt if you are paying them. There are far to many debt collection scams around today to risk trusting any of them.

Representative Elizabeth contacted me in regards to an Emory balance. We talked and I made an initial payment. She was extremely friendly and understanding. Somehow, there was a misunderstanding about how the remaining balance would be paid. Over the next four weeks, I had two transactions for debt collectors come out of my account. I never allow future transactions to come out of my debit account for two reasons: 1. I prefer all medical debt be paid by my HSA (I made the 1st payment to FAMS from debit only bc my HSA had two pending deposit transactions) 2. I NEVER have been able to remember prescheduled debit transactions so I made a permanent rule to NEVER schedule ANY transactions to come from my debit card. On Thanksgiving Day, I had a debit from FAMS. Of course this was upsetting and caused major issues with my debit account. Immediately I contacted FAMS via email. First thing the next morning, I contacted FAMS via phone. Every representative I spoke with was friendly and professional. I left a message for the manager who returned my call within minutes. The manager (I don’t remember her name) was very professional and open to discuss my issue. My issue was resolved quickly. I was even informed that Elizabeth was concerned about my feelings. That actually meant a lot. Sometimes it’s the small things people do that stick with you and the fact that a representative, I spoke with a month ago, was concerned about how I felt meant a lot to me! So thank you Elizabeth for being a GREAT representative and thanks to the manager who was very understanding to an upset customer!

The customer service team here is a joke and so is the management. I called trying to make a payment on a portion of balance and none of the reps or the manager would listen!! The so called manager even told me to apply for a charity. I even told the last rep that I was trying to make a payment. They didn’t even want me to make a payment on my balance which is the whole point of their job.

This company buys very old debt. Debt that can not be verified as they say they will send the originating paperwork and never do. I wish more consumers were knowledgeable in debt collection practices and what's legal and illegal. Debt is sold over and over and over again. This company buys debt cheap because it's been sold numerous times (in other words, they buy the debt for a small cost and then try to collect on the original amount PLUS interest and fees. That's how they profit). In the debt collection world, the type of debt this company purchases is called "bad paper" meaning, by the time the debt gets to them, the original paperwork proving the debt belongs to the debtor has been long lost. They can not validate the debt. Do NOT let them bully you into agreeing to a settlement unless they can prove the debt. Ask for the originiting paperwork. Don't fall for, "we have your name, address, phone number" or whatever else they may say to convince/scare you. Anyone can find these basic facts out. Make them send you the actual promissory note or whatever it was that you signed committing to the ORIGINAL creditor. Until you receive proof IN WRITING, meaning the ORIGINAL contract you signed, do not agree to pay them anything! If you do commit to a settlement or payment plan, then they've got you on the hook. Furthermore, they can not report this debt to credit bureaus because it's so old. Do your research & become a knowledgeable consumer.

If I could rate 0 stars, I would. Got phone calls MULTIPLE times per day until I finally started just blocking the number. They claim I owe a debt to Ross College, but wont confirm any of their information on file (SSN, dates attended, etc.). They want me to confirm all of that information. I never even attended Ross College But instead of trying to figure out who they are ACTUALLY looking for, they just keep harassing me and demanding proof that I never attended college there. Ummm....how exactly am I supposed to have proof that I DIDN'T attend a college They're all clearly lacking in common sense.

They called my job constantly asking for information which I had provided them already. Not to mention the numerous of letters they send me. They even called my fiance phone asking about my social security number. I don't know if they're a scam or not, but it's definitely lack of communication between the employees there. Not to mention I called to make a payment and they didn't give me a confirmation number, the lady took my number and simply hung up the phone on me.
