Got glasses from here and they became extremely scratched just from normal wear and cleaning with the provided cloth from them. I took them back in and got them replaced with my warranty. A month later the lens finally come in. The guy cut them at the Collinsville location. After having them for less than two weeks I found fractures around the edges of the lenses. I took them in to be looked at. The blonde haired woman with glasses told me they were coming apart from the inside and shouldn’t be doing that since I had just gotten them less than 2 weeks ago. I left my only pair of glasses there to be repaired per what she told me. 5 hours later I received a call from them stating that since I already used my warranty I couldn’t get them replaced. She made sure to inform me multiple times that I could purchase new ones though. She then asked me what I did to them to make them look that way. It was a complete 180 from what I was told 5 hours before. So now I am stuck without a pair of glasses unless I want to purchase lens again that will not be covered under my insurance because it has been less than a year since I have received them. Friedrichs eye center are straight criminals and should be treated as such. They just robbed me of the ability to see until next year sometime. I am disabled and on a fixed income and they could care less on how much I have to pay. I had trouble getting my daughter’s glasses too. As you can see in the included pictures it is internal. There is no way possible for myself to have done this. Either they are defective lenses or the whitehead guy who works in the lab cut them wrong which caused them to break. Either way my family of 5 that currently goes there will no longer be using this horrible practice, that takes advantage of people with lower incomes.

All of the staff was outstanding with the exception of the receptionist. She was very rude. Told me our insurance was not any good to use there because we used it somewhere else. Explained that we had not used it anywhere else. She said "Well I don't know what to say but it says you have." The girl behind her in another cubicle came up to desk and showed her what to do. The receptionist wasn't even apologetic. Yes our insurance was available. We almost got turned away just because she wasn't even going to try to help us. All the other staff members where very friendly and helpful.

Very inviting environment! The receptionist was very knowledgeable and friendly and other staff members made me feel comfortable with each procedure that was completed. Mr. Bethel, did a thorough job examining my eyes and the evaluation was verified and solidified by Dr. Frederick.

My first eye exam at Friedrichs went well. They were thorough, taking the time to explain each step of the process and answer all my questions patiently. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially Amy. I forgot my insurance card but they took me in anyway. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking quality eye care.".

I called to make sure they accepted my insurance. Made an appointment. When I went for the appointment they presented me with a list of charges that had not been mentioned when I made the appt. That I would have to pay in addition to my insurance. Avoid this place. They
are using bait and switch. Big time waste of time.

Frederick's Family Eye Center is an awesome place to trust your eyes too.

I have been a loyal patient here since Covid when I had a painful eye condition and they were the only practice that had the ability to fit me in within a day. Dr. Joy was able to diagnose an eye condition that was causing my recurring corneal abrasions. My husband is very pleased with the care he’s received here, as well.
