I have rented from another company in a different state before moving here and Green Street has been the best from the very beginning. They are VERY quick with response times, always honest and straight forward (no secrets, no fine print), and they get maintenance requests/general inquiries taken care of in a timely manner. Their customer service is top notch. We are happy to rent from them and will continue to do so!

Nothing I have stated below is inaccurate. We had a terrible experience with Green Street bordering on neglectful. What I find puzzling and inaccurate is the amount of positive reviews they have. Maybe we are the outlier - our experience was not good.

Good day. I dealt with Bart as a property owner. The signing up was very friendly and smooth, but the reality was once they signed you up, they could bother with doing anything more than getting their check.

I had to interact with the tenants to keep them happy. They were a bit high maintenance. I think Bart and friends were off playing golf. Anyways, I liked the guy, but the work done through them beyond the signup, just didn't exist.

Be careful with how they deal with accounting and taxes as well, please. My accountant was not happy.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend Green Street Property.

I only hired Green Street about 3 months ago to manage my condo but I have had a wonderful experience with Green Street Property Management so far. The first phone experience was very pleasant and I felt absolutely no pressure. Evan initially came out to view the property, told me about their services, and provided a free rental analysis. They were the first company we talked to but hired them the next day. The whole process could not have been easier. I moved out about 3 weeks later and they immediately got to work getting the unit ready for rent. They set realistic expectations and it rented out at the price that they quoted me and after only 2 weeks on the market. When a repair was needed over the preagreed threshold they just emailed me and I gave them my input for the repair. When the time comes to sell the property, I will probably use Evan as well. I am very happy with my decision to hire Green Street.

I recently stayed at 275 West Washington El Cajon 92020 and spent some amazing time with family in SD. Really clean spot and very convenient and Bart was very accommodating! We had everything we needed and the guest house in the back was just beautiful!

They are very good at communicating with me and are very responsive. I trusted them to not only manage my rental property but when the time came recently to sell it I trusted them to be my realtor as well.

Super unprofessional & Rude. Submitted an application 2 weeks ago and could never get them to reply to my status. Tried sending an email but no response and then sent a text with no response. Then called the next day and basically was told "We are reviewing other applicants" like I was bothering them to try to find out about my application.

Long story short ended up signing a new lease w/ "The Rey" in downtown San Diego w/ an amazing view.

Bart is the owner of this company. Bart was managing the property im renting for the past 6 months or so. The property owner must've had his own problems with Bart because halfway through my lease management changed. When i moved into the property Bart showed me it was filthy, like if you wore white socks inside theyd be ruined forever. all of the previous residents body hair was all over the bathroom, nor was the toilet clean. the walls were and still are all covered in scuff marks and small holes from where things used to hang on the walls. none of the gas utilities were in safe working condition when i moved in. i reported the furnace being broken in September and it was wasnt fixed until the end of december. i had to live in my house for a month while the temperatures dropped into the 50s inside the house every day. an issue i reported with the front door which bart promised me he would address took him 5 months to get to, and when he finally decided to do something about it when he reinstalled the door he only put 2 screws in for every 6 holes the hinges had. after just 3 weeks of having the door fixed it fell off the hinges and needs to be fixed again. i reported that a sprinkler was leaking in the back yard, i notified bart at least twice a week for 5 months before it was fixed. yeah i paid for the water on my water bill.
