Everyone was SUPER nice and helpful, in every dept.
They all went above and beyond to make sure we found everything we needed.
The quality of the food is top notch, with plenty of options that you won't find anywhere else.

Now, the prices are definitely higher than most other places as well, but you're getting top tier product in exchange.

This is a great store to go to. Most staff is friendly, and the other customers aren't the type to run you over if you move a little slowly down the aisle.

Much better quality food than Walmart, meats are much better than Meijer. Picnic chicken is good, but Giant Eagle is better in that metric.

Has great local brands, too.

I have mixed feelings about this Heinens. It’s definitely not a big store, but it’s big enough. Selection is decent, there’s a couple things I get there that nobody else sells. I’m not sure why there’s so many employees, I’m like avoiding bumping into them, they seem to be in every aisle no matter the time of day, although shelves are always stocked well and I don’t think I’ve ever stood in much of a line…I really hate that the cashiers are instructed to say “plastic OK?” They all say it just like that. I feel like I’m inconveniencing them by asking for paper. If you wanna have the feel of a back in the day local grocery store then say “paper or plastic” it’s just so obvious that they wanna save money by filling our world with more plastic. Overall it’s a pretty decent store and there arn’t really any other good stores over there.

It is a bit pricey. But the employees there are eager to help you. They're very friendly and if and when I win the lottery I will be shopping there on a regular basis.
