I have banked with heritage bank for over 30 years. They let me down completely today when they would not cash large cashier's check,said there would be a 7 day hold on funds. We needed the cash for my birthday weekend. Thank goodness for Wells Fargo who cashed our check and made our weekend!! No thanks to heritage bank and my 30 years of dealing with them!

Heritage Bank has been my bank for 7 years now! They have supported me tirelessly with my business, and my company car loan. Made an account so Paypal would 'get off my back'. Neglected my account for several months, they started charging me $3 paper fee, and $6 fee. Those fees eventually overdrew my account by $0.31. My fault, should have been paying attention.
What isn't my fault is that instead of sending me an e-mail, or letter, the day it happened, they waited 21 days to mail me a letter informing me they were charging me $5 a day overdraft fees. So $0.31 became $75.31 because they waited til they couldn't charge me anymore fees to tell me they were charging me fees.

Then since I didn't look at my mail til after they were closed Friday, I had to deal with the drive-up window. They say hi then turn off the mic to carry on a conversation with each other, so you have to push the button again and repeat what you said. And the speakers outside are very loud, so you can hear them no problem, but they have a hard time hearing what your saying, so I guess the mics are bad.

All in all a terrible experience I hope never to repeat. I closed my account and will never deal with, what I know consider to be crooks, again.

Heritage is conveniently located in downtown Longview. They make it super easy to make withdrawals and deposits via their ATMs and night deposit boxes.
